Day 1: Queenstown 🚤 Skyline Luge & Gondola, lunch at the Boatshed Cafe, and a Shotover Jet ride.
Day 2: Queenstown & Glenorchy 🛥️ Enjoy the scenic drive to Glenorchy followed by a helicopter glacier tour of the Earnslaw Burn. This was cancelled so we went to hike the Routeburn track instead.
Day 3: Te Anau ✨ Head to the Fiordlands and explore Te Anau Glowworm Caves.
Day 4: Milford Sound 🚢 A day in the “8th Wonder of the World” for a guided hike and scenic cruise through the fiord.
Day 5: Wanaka 🍷 Wine tasting with a view at Rippon Vineyard, visiting the iconic Wanaka Tree, and hiking at Rocky Mountain.
Day 6: Wanaka 🏔️ Hike the epic Rob Roy Glacier track for incredible ice and waterfall views.
Day 7: Lake Tekapo 🪻 Explore the Clay Cliffs on the way to Tekapo and catch sunset at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Go to the dark sky reserve at night ✨
Day 8: Lake Tekapo 🐎 A full day for alpine horseback riding through the high country.
Day 9: Mt Cook / Aoraki 🏔️ Hiking the iconic Hooker Valley Track and make sure to see the icebergs at Tasman lake 🧊
Day 10: Kaikōura 🐬 Swim with dolphins or go whale watching. Visiting the seals and hiking the Peninsula Walkway is a must.
Day 11: Marlborough 🥂 Cycling through the world-famous Sauvignon Blanc vineyards of the Wairau Valley.
Day 12: Abel Tasman National Park 🏖️ Water taxi to Anchorage for some beach relaxation, followed by a 4-hour hike back to Marahau and pizza at The Park Cafe.
*note* lots of our activities which are in this itinerary were cancelled so we had to improvise. Luckily there are lots of beautiful landscapes to explore!
