At Harrow Hong Kong, we believe that education extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. During this year’s Leadership in Action Week, our Lower School pupils embarked on enriching journeys to Xi’an, Chengdu and across Hong Kong, taking part in meaningful experiences designed to develop confidence, character and independence.
These trips provided pupils with valuable opportunities to engage in learning beyond the classroom, bringing their studies to life through cultural exploration, collaboration and real-world discovery. Whether immersing themselves in the rich history of Xi’an, experiencing the unique culture and natural environment of Chengdu, or exploring the vibrant communities and landmarks of Hong Kong, pupils were encouraged to broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Leadership in Action Week is an important reflection of Harrow Hong Kong’s commitment to holistic development. Through new challenges and shared experiences, pupils built resilience, strengthened friendships and developed essential life skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
Most importantly, these experiences helped to nurture leadership in its many forms. Leadership can be shown through curiosity, responsibility, compassion and the willingness to step outside one’s comfort zone. Throughout the week, our Lower School pupils demonstrated these qualities with enthusiasm and maturity, showing that leadership is not only taught — it is lived.
We are proud of all that our pupils gained from Leadership in Action Week and look forward to seeing how these experiences continue to shape their growth, both in school and beyond.
