Draft Cross Colt Looking for his Person! ❤️

This 1 year-old Percheron/QH cross is hoping to find someone who would like to keep him in the Harmonized Horsemanship Program while he grows, learns and develops! Shadow is full of personality and is a brave, bold guy. He will thrive with his own, consistent human. He’s appropriate for an intermediate horse person so long as they’re in a program and he stays in training!

Located in Elizabeth, CO. Priced in the mid-high fours, with preference for anyone keeping him here at HH! #draftcross #drafthorse #coloradohorses
I was watching some old videos of a training session I had with this spicy little paso fino gelding 6 years ago. He had a major bolting issue, no understanding of halter pressure and a massive talent for throwing his shoulder into you and sending you 10’ sideways. He had, quite literally, learned how to weaponize his body in a way to keep humans at a distance and keep himself protected.

In the video, I was just beginning to try and help him understand that I could move his shoulder and nothing bad would happen. And that he could settle into a moment of stillness beside me and be safe.

And I was so SURE about everything I was doing. None of the “methods” looked much different than what I’m doing today, but the feel was so different.

It was confident. Certain. Clear. No imposter syndrome, no self-doubt, no “but is this going to work” spiraling thoughts of doom.

Just certainty and a clear love, trust and belief in the work.

I’ve grown and learned so much in the 6 years since that video was taken. And I often think to myself “Gosh, if I only knew then what I know now, maybe I could have helped that one horse more.”

But actually, what if I could FEEL now, how I felt then?

Things were simpler then for me. I didn’t have these worries of proving myself, or making sure I was doing everything the exact right way all of the time. It was before my nervous system got stuck in survival mode after a few very hard, traumatic years and I was quite honestly just dancing through each day feeling like a fairy in the wind.

But I do know I’m on the path right now, finding my way back to that part of me who is just sure and grounded and safe. The part of me who doesn’t question literally everything I’m doing and instead gets lost in long moments of intuition and connection with the horses before me. I know I’m doing the work to get there.

I quite literally could not be more excited to announce this ✨

To come together and create a space in which horses and their humans can feel honored, safe and sound feels like something more special than I can put into words and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

Celeste and I will spend the first two days working with horses together. Collaborating and bringing the philosophies, ideas and techniques we've developed independently together to see all that is possible.

Then, we'll spend three days with 6 horse-human pairs for a truly immersive, hands-on experience. Holding space and creating a container for each pair to show up exactly as they are, guiding them through whatever comes up.

We need a total of 10 demo horses (5 for each demo day) and 6 horse-human pairs. Participant spots are $1500 and include overnight stabling for your horse. You can apply for either of those at the link in bio.

We are welcoming auditors for all five days, and those passes can be purchased at the link in bio as well.

more details to come, but we sure hope to see you there 💛
Horses are something so special.

Especially the ones who have been broken, worn down and had everything taken from them at some point in their lives, yet still choose partnership with humans.

The ones who hide behind defense mechanisms or behaviors that make no sense to us. The ones who wait patiently to find the human who will actually do the work to unravel years of pain and conflict and trauma.

Yesterday morning, we all sat and held space for a mare who started to unpack years of baggage that was holding her down. We let her express it and move it out of her body with incessant head tossing and wiggly feet. We all just sat there and breathed and waited for her to unpack as much as she was willing to unpack.

We can’t force healing. We can’t insist that another soul remove barriers and roadblocks or force a being to relax. We just can’t. Just like a human would not be able to force you to relax or to heal if you’re not ready to do so. You have to feel safe enough to do it and you have to feel ready to do the work.

Much of our relationship with horses is healing parts of them that we never broke in the first place. It’s choosing to show up and take responsibility for someone else’s mistakes, poor judgement and lack of knowledge and heal the soul who is before us. It’s hard, it’s painful and it’s so much work.

But it’s really so worth it. I can promise you that. If you choose to look beneath the surface and can really be willing to get to know the horse who stands before you, you’ll likely uncover some parts of them that needs healed.

And you can be the one to do it. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to do it all right. You just have to show up. 💛
The first day of our 3-Day Honor the Horse, Honor Yourself Workshop is complete and it was 😍🤩 I remembered almost immediately why I LOVE the 3-day format so much and how much I love these clinics in general.

We have PLENTY of room for auditors tomorrow and Sunday and would LOVE to have you! You can get tickets on the website, or you’re welcome to pay in person when you arrive! The collection of horses that have come together for this clinic are truly remarkable and we have so much to work on and magic to watch! 💛 Come join us!!!
The 2026 Liberty Mentorship program kicks off TOMORROW! This clinic series is going to follow 6 horse-human pairs over the course of a few months to see how much progress they can make at developing their relationship and connection through liberty work!

The dates are as follows:
May 3
May 31
July 11-12
August 2
Sept 6

We have a few spots left open for auditors! This is a limited-access event, meaning it is NOT open to the general public for auditing. If you would like to join and be a part of the journey, this is a great option for those who want to learn but can't bring their horse! You will have access to the private WhatsApp group to share your own progress at home as well as ask questions and get support from myself and the group!

As an auditor you do NOT have to be able to attend all of the dates, so if you are going to miss some of them, it's okay!

LEASE HORSE OPTIONS 😍

We have a couple of options of horses for half lease here at Harmonized Horsemanship! These are unstarted horses who are beginning their journey towards under-saddle work. This means you can do groundwork, liberty work and/or riding preparation work and learn all of the ins and outs of the Harmonized Horsemanship program, without needing a horse of "your own!"

One lesson per week is required. Lease fees reflect the training level of the horses. I offer this rarely when necessary for the good of the horses and to try to create opportunities for people who are unable to afford all-in horse ownership 💛

Message me for more info or if you are interested. Lease fees start around $250/month and lesson fees vary between $70-$80/lesson depending on how many you do per month!
“Let me take away the things you are carrying that do not serve you.” 🙏🏼 Horses are natural healers that carry wisdom that can transform your life if you slow down long enough to listen. Creating a relationship first, truly allowing your horse to guide you in life, and opening your heart to love him fully even though you know it will break one day…that’s what allows you to transcend the traditional horse/human connection and find something beyond your wildest dreams. Thank you, Leo, my beautiful, beautiful friend. 💛.
