…. the Beginning.
This is where it all started for me.
For Harlly & Co… For US ♥️
It must have been almost 20 years ago. The first time I walked on to level 3 of the Mater Hospital. I wouldn’t have realised the impact this place was going to have on my future back then… but in 2012 we returned from living in London and we were planning our family.
I found myself walking into the maternity ward dreaming of “one day” bringing a baby into the world - but actually before that came together I was pulled towards the hope that somehow I could photograph the mother’s with their newest baby’s in this very place.
It’s a longer story but a REALLY lovely one! (I didn’t realise but as I was day dreaming - I was actually in the earliest weeks of a pregnancy I was yet to discover!!!)
We started our family in 2013 and I have had the amazing role of Mater Maternity Newborn Photographer since 2016… biggest thanks to (our OBGYN) for his support 🙏🏻
And so… for the past 8 years, I have had the incredible pleasure to meet hundreds and hundreds of newborn babies delivered at the Mater and work with such a beautiful group of Obstetricians and Midwives.
I have made wonderful friendships and learnt a great deal from the experts in this area. I also offer this portrait service at North Shore Private and any other maternity hospital by request.

If there is one thing we can recommend you do when choosing your newborn photographer it is to ask questions around the experience of the person who will be handling your newborn. The hygiene / environment, posing and soothing techniques as well as the wrapping and the temperature used during the session.
This is an incredible time but one all photographers should treat with gentle love and care.
