Since December 17, 1945, when it was first officially raised in Mahabad, this flag has grown into our shared identity and a light guiding our way into the future.
Today, as we remember that historic moment, I find myself thinking of this photo I took during last year’s Newroz in Akre, a moment full of warmth, energy, and love for our homeland.

I had seen photos of this house long ago across social media platforms until, one day; I decided to visit it myself during an evening before twilight. As exhibited in the photo, the scenery of a clear blue sky above, a snow-coated mountain, and an old balakayati house create a piece of art that portrays the magic of Kurdish nature.
Photography, as a form of art, encompasses various characteristics, including desire, precision, and aesthetic sight.
Personally, I have developed a unique passion for exploring and envisioning scenes from different perspectives. A lot of times, I rely on my imagination to craft a story for my sceneries then I carefully select the perfect angle to capture the photo that mirrors the narrative I have imagined.
