She stitches horizontal threads into found imagery, obscuring the figures beneath β they become blurred, as unrecognisable as distant memories, as though being swept away in the wind.
"Le Fil", is a beautiful, new book, published by,celebrating fiber in contemporary art.
The book features works by 125 artists from around the world, who share their methode, source of inspiration and their stories.

This ongoing series, "Which Way the Wind Blows" explores memory through embroidery on found photographs. Straight stitches are hand-sewn directly onto the images.
Across the main subjects, horizontal lines drift as if blown by the wind, echoing the colors beneath and rendering the images fragile, like faded memories π§΅
