The work traces the psychological rewiring required to contain and redirect this emotion, negotiating the tension between inner intensity and outward restraint. The flute is an instrument traditionally associated with purity and angelic expression, and in R ew ( i r e ) d, the two live flutes played by Adeline DeBella and Tara Helen O’Connor embody what is presented on a surface level. In contrast, the electronic track, composed of pre-recorded flute, speech, breath, and singing, gives voice to the internal world of anger, gradually pressing through and ultimately rupturing the façade.
