At the edges you see the ornaments painted by hand with a brush, forming the frame around the work. These shapes are more than decoration. They are the beginning of a new step in my process.
From now on I will start turning these brush ornaments into real three dimensional elements made from gypsum. The lines that once lived only in ink will slowly become physical structures on the wall.
This piece is the bridge between flat calligraphy and sculptural ornament.
