5月27,28日の2日間にわたり、日本海海戦121周年記念大祭(さつき大祭)を斎行いたしました。
#日本海海戦 の日(#海軍記念日)である5月27日には、10時よりご本殿にて『日本海海戦記念彼我戦没者 並 海洋殉難者鎮魂祭』を、
ご本殿での祭典後は、海上自衛隊 輸送艦『くにさき』艦上にて、洋上追悼式を行いました。
翌28日には、10時より『さつき大祭納祭』を、14時より『敬老祭』を斎行し、
敬老祭では周辺校区の長寿の皆様の益々のご健康を祈願いたしました。
令和8年5月9日13時より、筥崎宮東末社に鎮座する『乙子宮(おとごぐう)』にて、お籠り行事を執り行いました。
『乙子宮』は、子供たちの健やかな成長をお守りするお神様をお祀りしております。
地元の小学生の皆様がご神前でお詣りをされた後、奉納太鼓を奉奏いただきました。
平成元(1989)年に「日本の松の緑を守る会」によって制定されたもので、松の緑が最も輝く季節であることにちなみます。
日本の代表的な樹木の松をいつまでも大切に保護して行くことが目的とされています。
松の名前の由来は、神様が木に宿るのを「待つ」が転じてできたとする説や、木に宿る神様を「祀る」とする説など諸説あります。
日本では古くから神様の宿る神聖な木とされてきました。また、冬でも青々とした葉を付けることから、不老長寿の象徴であり、おめでたい樹の「松竹梅」では最上級とされます。
お正月に家の門に飾る門松には、年神様を家に迎え入れるための依り代という意味合いがあります。
筥崎宮では、御神木として楼門そばの朱の玉垣の中に松の木が植えられており、『筥松』、『標(しるし)の松』と呼ばれています。
応神天皇様がお生まれになったときの御胞衣（胎盤 ・へその緒）を筥に納めて白砂青松の清浄なる岬に埋め奉り、標に松を植え「筥松」と名付けられて以後、筥松のある岬（崎）ということで「筥崎」の名が起こったと伝わっております。
本日10時より、子供祭を斎行いたしました。
神饌として、ご神前に『ちまき』をお供えし、子どもたちが武者幟の絵柄のように強く、たくましく育ち、豊かで安泰な人生を過ごせるよう祈念いたしました。
本日より開催の「博多どんたく港まつり」にて、「博多松囃子西流稚児舞」の奉納をいただきました。
博多松囃子は、博多どんたくの起源と云われ、三福神並びに稚児が福岡や博多の方々を訪問して祝賀する祭です。現在は国指定無形民俗文化財に定められています。
平素より筥崎宮に格別なるご高配を賜り、篤く御礼申し上げます。

「敵国降伏」の御辰筆は筥崎宮に伝存する第一の神宝であり紺紙に金泥で書かれています。
