Over time, this naturally turned me into a full service braider, even though that was never my original intention. In 2025, I decided to take control of the direction of my business. I first stopped posting braids and ultimately removed them from my menu altogether.
The purpose behind this shift is simple: healthy hair. With all the information circulating now, you’ve likely heard that braids aren’t always as protective as they’re believed to be. Many of the styles clients request rely on synthetic hair filled with chemicals and products that smooth the hair while compromising hair health. I’ve decided that I want to shift by focusing on my clients natural hair even if that means letting go of my first love.
I want to sincerely thank every client who is trusting me and choosing to take this shift with me. I’m determined to find the best possible path to healthy hair. I’m committed to (and have already started) using better products, continuing my education through classes, improving my services and treatments, and handling my business with the highest level of professionalism.

Starting with a clean foundation, using small enough sections to be sure the hair dries in a decent amount of time, saturating the hair evenly with product, and using tension when stretching the hair while rodding are all very important when we are talking about a quality set.

2. If the curls begin to gather back together overtime, pull them apart. The more you pull them apart the bigger it’ll get.
3. For more volume, take a comb at the roots and slightly pull up without pulling through the full length of the curl.
Lifestyle, density, texture, etc will provide different end results and different longevity of the hairstyle. For most with lower density this style can last upward of 1.5 weeks. For some with higher density it will last a full 3 weeks.
Having a recent trim is super important for this and any other natural style. Split ends will make or break the style.

Flexi rods are typically done on dry hair unless you receive a trim beforehand or just would prefer it done on dry hair vs wet, in that case you would add a blowdry to your service. When booking this style please also keep in mind that your most recent trim really affects the outcome of the style. Mini twists are perfect for the summer days. They can last about 4 weeks give or take based off of your texture and it’s mainly because this is also a style locticians use to loc hair. If that isn’t your goal you should not exceed 4 weeks lol.
The look of the twists are based off of texture. Some twists will have curly ends, some won’t. Some twists will have a lot of shrinkage and become shorter as they dry, some will not. Some twists will be more silky, some will be more textured.
It’s also important to know that most natural hair styles can’t hide split ends and the health of your hair will completely change the outcome of the style. If you know you need a trim, go ahead and add that to the service! ❤️
