Located in Drumnadrochit, this cosy pub is for lack of a better phrase, a bit of a hidden gem. Itโs some of our friends favourite place to eat yet one that I feel like more people need to visit from Inverness given how close it is!
Iโm the biggest advocate for our local food scene yet thereโs one thing I feel like Iโm most often disappointed in and thatโs a good old roast.
Itโs one of the few things I crave, yet if you were to ask me where to go I have maybe 3 tried and tested places I can really truly recommend. So thatโs where this series comes in.
I need someone who does it all in terms of value, a good feed & pricing! Bonus points if you donโt scrimp on your gravy and include Skirlie. Cause I donโt know about you guys but Skirlie belongs on every single roast!

Perfectly cooked, soft meat. I normally shy away from pork yet this was faultless โญ๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฅDelicious gravy and well cooked veg. No mushy broccoli here. Good sized Yorkshire pudding and homemade too. Decent amount of gravy as well. The pine nut stuffing was a highlight!
Sadly no Skirlie and the tatties could be crispier but other than that, it was pretty damn near perfect!
We went for the full 3 courses since it was for my birthday! Felt wrong to not mention the Shetland Mussels with harissa & coconut broth. Huge fresh mussels, packed full of flavour. They were out of these last time we visited so I was glad I finally got to try. Can see why they were sold out before.
