Created by in our West Philly studio over the course of an entire year, and installed on-site, this large-scale public artwork bridges fine art realism with bold pattern and storytelling.

This piece is rooted in a South Philly community fridge site with, centered on nourishment, access, and collective care as living systems.
The composition is built from the ground up. These plants aren’t decorative, they’re the source.
Wood lily and yellow coneflower (Echinacea) are coming forward first. Both carry long histories of medicinal use. Wood lily has been used for soothing and skin support, while Echinacea is known for immune support and resilience in times of stress and recovery.
Threaded through it all is the monarch. A migratory species that depends on native plant systems to survive, moving across landscapes that are increasingly fragmented. Its presence grounds the work in pollination, movement, and interdependence.
Together, these elements form a single system. The florals generate the energy. The motion builds from them. The structure rises out of that ecology.
This is what the Wild Medicine series continues to explore. Plants as medicine, as habitat, as history, and as systems of care.

A site-responsive Eco Mural installation built from medicinal prairie species, pollinator relationships, and place-based research.
Featured here: Purple coneflower, black-eyed Susan, purple prairie clover, and prairie spiderwort.
On Earth Day, a reminder that these plants, pollinators, and relationships are not symbolic. They are living systems we’re still learning to care for.
