#qotd are you back to school already? ๐Ÿ‘€

Happy Friday friends!! As school is restarting (or has restarted) for most of us, I thought why not post an info post on how to have an academic comeback!

1. Declutter EVERYTHING ๐Ÿงน
- and by everything I mean everything, not just physical, but also digital: from your phone to IPad and more
> why? Well, because a clear space equals a clear mind + reduces distractions
> declutter old stationery, clothes, files, unfollow accounts you donโ€™t need anymore, etc

2. Reflect and re-asses your goals ๐Ÿ’ญ
- how did you do with your goals last year? What went well? What didnโ€™t?
> actively ask yourself question, eg through a journal, to find out how you have to adjust your system(s) if you didnโ€™t reach your goals/think of ways how you can maintain certain habits!
> ideally also plan for obstacles and how to potentially deal with them!

3. Make use of the BEST study methods ๐Ÿ“‘
- use active recall, spaced repetition, Feynman method, blurting, sq3r method for optimised learning

4. Make use of efficient study apps ๐Ÿ“š
- eg: notion, StudySmarter, Anki,, forest/flipd, Goodnotes, Quizlet, coursera, khan academy

5. Create a routine and implement habits to stay consistent โœ๏ธ
- creating a routine with the new implementations youโ€™ve planned in step 2 and also including the methods from step 3 are gonna help you stay consistent with your result and will also help develop discipline instead of just relying on motivation
- Also breaking down your goals into actionable habits will make it easier for you to achieve them!

Let me know if you want me to go into more detail with the certain steps as this was quite broad and feel free to use this as a guideline!
Hope this was helpful! ๐ŸŒฑ

Love,
Anna ๐ŸŒท

#qotd๐ŸŒธ do you take notes digitally? If yes what app do you use?

Hey guys! Is Goodnotes 6 really worth it? ๐Ÿค”
They have new features ranking from new AI, being able to use the lasso tool it gout actually switching tools and a different design - but is still worth it?

+ the new AI based autocorrect for handwriting is actually useful imo (especially eg if you write a lot of essays by hand)
+ more customisation of the folders make the app more organised
+ being able to use the lasso tool without switching to it is also quite nice (and can potentially save time)
+ I really like being able to scribble away (and that function is quite intuitive imo)

- not the biggest fan of the premium plans (which will probably not include any further versions either)
- I personally found the old design of Goodnotes 5 better, I find the new design somewhat tacky and distracting
- I find some tolls ( eg encircling sth and having to tap the circle itself to enable the lasso tool) quite unintuitive

Thatโ€™s it with my Opinion on Goodnotes 6! Whatโ€™s your opinion on Goodnotes 6?

Love,
Anna ๐ŸŒท

#qotd Are you going digital or using paper for school? ๐Ÿ‘€
#a I mostly use digital but from time to time I switch to paper:)

Hey friends! Today Iโ€™m back withy iPad Air unboxing (those who joined my channel already got a little sneak peak ๐Ÿ‘€)
However, hereโ€™s also a few tips on how to use your iPad for school!

How to make the most out of your IPad for school!

1. Make it a productive space ๐ŸŒฑ
> that means only having apps on your IPad that you use for work!
> having different devices for different purposes (entertainment, work, etc.) helps your brain associate certain tasks with a certain environment, thus as soon your in that environment your brain automatically will tune into the right type of focus for that task!

2. Use google calendar for time blocking ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ
> time blocking helps with giving you a rough sketch for your day and batching together similar tasks can increase your work flow!

3. Use it as a second screen for your laptop ๐Ÿ’ป
> this is quite obvious, but this might be especially helpful if your doing a lot of research and use split screen a lot as well!

4. Make use of the different focus modes ๐ŸŽง
> not only can u match certain focus modes to different lock screens now with IOS 17, but these can also help you with productivity and work flow by minimising distractions via notifications and limiting apps!

5. Use notion โœ๏ธ
> Notion is an overall all-in-one app that can be used for active recall, organising content, planning, journalling and more!

I hope you liked todayโ€™s post and if havenโ€™t yet you can join my channel linked in my bio! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

A bit late but happy august people!! Today is a recap of my July + how to start well into a new month!

1. Reflect on the past month
> note down what went well/what didnโ€™t and things youโ€™re grateful for!

2. Deep clean everything
> and really EVERYTHING not just your physical space, but also your digital space, like your phone and other devices!

3. Set new monthly goals and pick up on what was missed last month!
> if you didnโ€™t check off all the boxes in last months list, donโ€™t fret! Implement them in this months goals to not lose track of your goals!

4. Break it down and adjust your routine!
> break your new goals down into habits (that you can ideally implement in a routine) and adjust routines and habits that didnโ€™t work out last month!

5. Schedule the essentials + appointments!
> not only exams and appointments are essential for staying Organizer but also planning off days! Like for example a day with friends or family, a day for self care, etc!

Happy Mid-week friends, I feel like we all collectively experienced more in the first half of 2023 than seemingly ever before (and even if not this can be helpful), so, I thought Iโ€™ll make a post about journalling!

1 Why should you journal and what is journalling? ๐Ÿค”
journalling is a widely used non-pharmacological tool for coaching, counselling and even the treatment of mental illness
> keeping record of personal thoughts and feelings can help with reducing anxiety, obsessive thinking, improving awareness, regulating emotions and even boost physical health!
> it can help with mainly the acceptance part of processing emotional trauma
> and can also lead to on average lowered blood pressure, better mood, less time spent in the hospital and a higher student grade average!

2 How do you journal? โœ๏ธ
Thereโ€™s two main types:
> expressive writing: focusing on the emotional experiences during events and innermost feelings
> gratitude journalling: focusing on positive aspects of eg your daily life
> thereโ€™s also guided (with prompts) and unguided (w/o prompts) journalling
> keeping a bullet journal (a sort of mixture between a normal journal and planner) can help too!

3 accepting our feelings is linked to better mental health ๐Ÿ’ญ
> journalling promotes mindful acceptance, which can you help feel unstuck in difficult situations!
> this might be the outcome of emotional catharsis, increased cognitive processing, repeated exposure to certain events, and emotional inhibition

4 it might help you reach better grades ๐Ÿ“
> journalling is linked to better awareness and thus might help you identify your study behaviour more
> itโ€™s also linked to visualisation which can help you actualise goals in general!

5 it helps you form further habits ๐ŸŒฑ
> journalling can help you detect things that donโ€™t work in your routine faster and help you adjust them:)

Thank you for reading todayโ€™s post and feel free to use these as a guideline! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

First of all happy July and happy Monday friends! With the new month (and it being roughly the middle of the year), we tend to slack off of our goals and ambitions, so, I thought Iโ€™ll create a post on consistency and how to achieve your goals! ๐ŸŒฑ

#qotd what are your July goals?
#a mine is to work on a secret project and finish it ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€

1 first of all why are goals important? ๐Ÿ’ญ
> goals are essentially outline your lifeโ€™s purpose and the person you want to be by breaking it down into an actionable event
> it helps you act more mindfully

2 Review your goals ๐Ÿ“
> how far are you with your progress? Have you taken steps back? Forward?
> Reflect on your current situation, so you know what actual problem your addressing with your goal

3 adjust the goals โœ๏ธ
> if you feel like your goals are too big, break them down further into monthly, weekly and daily goals
> if you feel unmotivated or stuck, try changing the system (aka the habits), because often we only donโ€™t achieve our goals because our habits donโ€™t align with our vision
> habits can take between 2-200 days to form, but on average take 21 days

4 create a routine ๐ŸŒฑ
> a routine is essentially a chain of habits
> habits all require a certain cue, if you have build a solid routine, each habit is co-dependent on each other, as the prior habit is the cue for the next (making it easier to stick to it)
> also youโ€™ll get used to the routine making it easier and setting a new โ€œlowโ€ standard for your identity, making it easier to work further on yourself too (our brain only recognises change of states, not the actual stagnant state itself)

5 set the cues ๐Ÿ“ธ
> set mindful visual cues to remind yourself of your goals
> whether thatโ€™s a vision board, habit tracker, sticky notes, etc doesnโ€™t matter!
> did you know over 50% people donโ€™t achieve their goals because they simply forget about them?

Thank you for tuning in for todays post again and looking forward to your comments!! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Love,
Anna ๐Ÿ’•

[28/06/23]

Happy Wednesday friends! As summer break is nearing for most of us (or already has begun), I thought why not make a summer-themed post!

Most obviously: prepare for the new academic year
> Whether it is revising notes from time to time or doing some pre-readings, summer break is the best option to make use of timed repetition and to learn something in the long run!

2๏ธโƒฃ But also take breaks
> Whether itโ€™s rewatching your favourite series, reading a book or going out with friends

3๏ธโƒฃ Reflect
> With all the time we have on hand, summer break is also the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past school year (as we also need to accept and reflect experiences, to move and make space for new things to learn)!
> Did you known that there are studies (eg Pennsylvania State University) proving that journalling reduces stress in adults with anxiety ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

4๏ธโƒฃ Work on yourself
> whether it is creating a new routine, trying a new hairstyle or makeup, new habits, finishing or starting a project that has been on your to-do list ๐Ÿ’ช

5๏ธโƒฃ Reinvent your space
> They say a clear space equals a clear mind, which is true, but sometimes our brain also needs change as a cue to foster new ideas - and one way to do that, is to rearrange your room:)
> Put up posters, invest in or diy some deco and give your room a personal touch
> and a comfortable environment with light and friendly colours is also associated with higher productivity due to improving well-being over a longer time span:) ๐ŸŒฑ

6๏ธโƒฃ Play Tourist
> Also linked to the upper point of how our brain needs change, find some new spaces in your town like Cafรฉs, Restaurants, Shops, etc.! ๐Ÿคณ

Thank you again for reading todayโ€™s post and stay tuned for more content!

Stay safe,
Anna ๐Ÿ’•

A few things Iโ€™ve learned this month:

[26/06/23]

Happy Monday friends! Iโ€™m finally back with a new post after months hihi ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป Iโ€™ve taken a break due personal issues but also my physical health, however, I am better now and I thought Iโ€™ll share a few thoughts about what I learned during that time ๐ŸŒท

#qotd๐ŸŒธ whatโ€™s your favorite memory from this June?

1. Thereโ€™s not a โ€œright time to startโ€, in the end thereโ€™s just time and what you decided to do with it:) as long as you feel fulfilled youโ€™ve spent your time right

2. The right things can be hidden in plain sight
> sometimes we overlook the most obvious, and the solution that weโ€™re looking for is right in front of us. Sometimes all it takes to see it, is to change your perspective!

3. Sometimes you need to disconnect to reconnect
> whether it is appreciating your academic successes or your breaking apart from a toxic environment. Sometimes we need distance from those things to feel more reconnected to ourselves again and to make the right mindful decisions ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

4. Progress over perfection
> if you focus on perfection, youโ€™ll always end up sabotaging yourself eventually because youโ€™re more likely to not focus on the actual steps you have to take to get to the end result!

5. Change the system
> havenโ€™t reached a goal of yours yet? Then think of it like that: your system of habits is simple not aligned with the right outcome yet, focus on the little tweaks in the system and youโ€™ll eventually get there! There wonโ€™t be change without change:)

Thank you guys again for your support, especially while I was gone and I canโ€™t wait to post again for you guys!! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒท

Stay safe and take care ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Love,
Anna <3

a few tips to survive this exam season:

[15/05/22]

happy Sunday friends! How are you? I've been quite occupied with exam prep but I thought I'll make a vid about it either way:D

ยฌ first off, this is more like sth you can do before exams but try to take organized notes directly after each class ๐Ÿ“
> once exam season hits you only have to revise and remember not learn everything from scratch + it gives you a better overview of what you're doing

ยฌ keep a routine ๐ŸŒท
> not only makes this starting studying way more automated, but it also automatically keeps you away from procrastinating

ยฌ try to keep a balance ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿป
> nope, it doesn't necessarily give you better grades if you study 10h a day and sacrifice your sleep
> try to study smarter not harder by trying out different study techniques and finding one that works for you

ยฌ revise before bed/after waking up ๐Ÿ›๏ธ
> humans can remember best what's first/last so by revising directly at the end/start of your day makes it more likely you'll remember it (even if it's just 5 minutes)

ยฌ try to remember this is about you ๐Ÿ’ญ
> yep, it can be easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself w. others especially when you didn't get the results you wanted but really putting energy into that won't bring you further

ยฌ know your weaknesses ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
> try to analyze past exams/exercises and what you had difficulties with to improve

-
I hope you guys liked today's post and feel free to share any advice I haven't mentioned yet in the comments and good luck if you have any exams! <3

Also feel free to check out the quarterly productivity planner by
It literally has been a life saver + i personally prefer it over the 5 minute journal! ๐ŸŒฑ

#qotd๐ŸŒธ what is something you can't live without?

Hello friends and happy #selfcaresunday!
Majority of your suggested this post yesterday in my story, so here we are!
I felt like this post was super important hehe

*this some extra information

ยฌ your habits and routine create your mood and your mood is a filter through which you experience life ๐Ÿค“
> our mood (to study) is regulated by hormones which are affected, by how much and regularly you sleep, how much you move, etc

ยฌ routines can also give you a sense of safety because your brain is like "oh I know how to do this already" ๐Ÿง
> this shuts off your fight or flight instinct, making studying more enjoyable!

ยฌ also it's essential that you value your timeโณ
> knowing when to study what and making proper use of your time, will help you get more into a state of flow

ยฌ have a starting habit attached to certain subjects ๐ŸŽถ
> eg. putting on a certain Playlist for a subject, it can help your recognize what type of information it will have to process!

ยฌ educate yourself outside school ๐ŸŒฑ
> in the end, nothing will come on its own and one of the healthiest habits to have is curiousity in whatever makes you happy and learning more about that! ๐Ÿ’–

-
I have learned some of these from the book I recently started: "101 essays that will change the way you think", I can highly recommend it so far! ๐Ÿ‘€
