I have been to various docs and specialist over the past two years. I even asked our vet if he has any ideas 😂🙈
A million blood tests, stool sample, allergy tests been done. A biopsy of my lip was taken as well.
Good thing: my general state of health is more than perfect, my organs working perfectly, no major infections or what so ever. Wohoooo 😅
Bad thing: lip still swollen if no antihistamine/cortisone involved
We still are not 100% sure on what it is but we eliminated what it is not 😅. The guess is Cheilitis granulomatose. Cheilitis granulomatosa (CG) is a rare chronic disease characterized by persistent idiopathic swelling of the lip due to granulomatous inflammation. Treatment of cheilitis granulomatosa is difficult because the cause is unknown and the rate of recurrence is high.
Today was the first day of my new medication. Weekly blood tests are required for the first four weeks. I haven’t had any of the million bad side effects they were talking about and let’s hope it stays that way.
