In a growth phase, more protein ā more muscle.
Once your needs are covered, piling it higher just kills appetite and makes eating enough harder.
Protein matters.
But carbs and fats drive performance, recovery, and growth when the goal is size.
Eat enough protein.
Donāt let it crowd out what actually fuels progress.
DM me āJANUARYā if you want structure that actually works.

I wonāt lie ā the last couple of months of 2025 were probably the least productive in terms of gaining new tissue.
But zooming out, Iām genuinely happy with the progress made across the year.
There were very good weeks and months.
There were not so good ones too.
The main thing? I stayed consistent.
Itās always you vs you.
I didnāt compete last year ā family came first, with Alex being born, and that was the right call. No regrets.
That said⦠Iāve missed prep.
Bodybuilding diet + structure brings the best out of me mentally and physically, and Iām ready to lean into that again.
Plan was January, but life had other ideas ā nose surgery to fix breathing, end of Jan, followed by ~4 weeks of minimal training.
So the real dial-in starts March, with eyes on late May / June shows.
Excited. Focused. Grateful.
Letās see what 2026 brings.
If youāre ready to lock in your own goals this year ā DM me ā2026ā and letās get to work šŖš
What works for smaller lifters often stops working at this size.
More days and more volume donāt mean more growth ā
fatigue management, recovery, and smarter exercise selection matter far more.
If youāve been stuck at the same size for years, itās not about doing more ā
itās about training appropriately for your body.
If you want structure that actually works for bigger frames,
DM me āJANUARYā.

They fail because they try to be perfect⦠and canāt sustain it.
Progress comes from consistency, with short phases where you lock in ā
then returning to a routine you can actually maintain.
Thatās how physiques are built over years, not weeks.
If youāre done restarting and want real structure,

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!
My back has always been a sensitive subject for me.
I was criticised a lot ā judges, coaches, opinions everywhere.
And honestly⦠most of it was valid.
At the start of my bodybuilding journey, I trained like most gym bros:
š chest
š arms
š āT-shirt musclesā
I had no back. No lat development. No idea how to train them.
I trained my back⦠but in reality, I was just moving weight from A to B.
No control. No intent. No real muscle engagement.
I couldnāt feel my lats.
I didnāt understand how to align them mechanically, how to brace, how to pull with purpose instead of just yanking the weight.
And in bodybuilding, lats are EVERYTHING.
They create width, the V-taper, and shape your physique from both the back and the front.
What changed š
⢠Learning proper setup and execution
⢠Actually feeling the lats working
⢠Choosing exercises that fit my structure
⢠Training back 2x per week, consistently
⢠Prioritising quality reps over ego weight
Correcting my form and learning to feel the muscle was the 1 driver of progress.
Am I satisfied? No.
Thereās still a lot to improve ā but Iām proud of the progress.
If you want help structuring your training properly, send me a DM ā happy to point you in the right direction

Allow me to reintroduce myself. Iām Gytautas, but my family and friends call me Gytis. Most of you know me as Gye, which is perfectly fine ā I appreciate you making it easy! š
I grew up in the seaside town of KlaipÄda, Lithuania. I was raised primarily by my mum; we didnāt have much money, but she always made sure my sister and I had everything we needed.
I grew up in the pre-iPad era, so I spent most of my time playing outside various sports, riding my bike, rollerblading, and the like.
My parents always encouraged us to pursue after-school activities. I tried everything from wrestling and swimming to football and basketball, until I found my passion: boxing. I pursued it for nearly a decade.
In 2013, after finishing school, I moved to the UK to study. I joined the university boxing club, but they only trained twice a week, so I also joined a gym. In the summer of 2015, I shared a house with a couple of bodybuilders and became fascinated by it. I started eating and training correctly, which led to immediate results. I became so engrossed that, to this day, fitness is what I primarily read about, watch on YouTube, and listen to podcasts about in my free time.
Iāve always trained to compete, so naturally, once I got more involved in the gym, I decided to try my hand at bodybuilding. I hired my first coach in 2017 (I wish Iād done it sooner!) and have had one ever since.
I graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing, but office life wasnāt for me. I decided to get my Personal Trainer qualifications and start working in a gym.
In 2023, I was blessed with my firstborn son, Theo. This had a temporary impact on my fitness journey, but not for long. I soon realized that to be the best father and husband, I needed to work on being the best version of myself first.
So Iām continuing to pursue my fitness goals alongside juggling family life.
Itās not easy, butā¦Nothing worth having comes easy.
Fitness is truly a journey..
And as long as Iām on this earth I will continue this journey encouraging others to come along.
