This transformation is a perfect example of why consultation is everything.
My client came in with very thick hair and a one length haircut. She was clear she did not want lots of layers, but she wanted more movement, softness and a shape that worked better for her every day life. Using the 3D dry cut, I sculpted the hair to keep it strong through the length while creating natural movement and flow.
We also refined the colour. The top was very dark and dense with some visible white hair, so the aim was to soften and break it up gently. Lighter pieces through the top created a more natural, flattering result while keeping it low maintenance. Colour by Wella.
The fringe was the real moment of change. Inspired by Lily Allen’s super cropped fringe, opening up the face completely transformed her look. It lifts the features, adds confidence and gives the haircut real personality.

✨ Non water soluble silicones
These sit on the outside of the hair and do not dissolve in water. They usually require strong or clarifying shampoos to remove. They give instant shine and smoothness but over time they build up, block moisture and leave hair feeling heavy or dull.
Examples include dimethicone, dimethiconol, phenyl trimethicone and trimethylsiloxysilicate.
✨ Partly water soluble silicones
Often marketed as lightweight or build up free, these are still silicones. They only partially dissolve in water, meaning they rinse away more easily but still lightly coat the hair. Build up happens more slowly, but with regular use it still occurs.
Examples include PEG 8 dimethicone, PEG 12 dimethicone, PEG 40 dimethicone and dimethicone copolyol.
