Tomorrow is Give NOLA Day, and the early giving period is open now. Last year, we were able to surpass our fundraising goal, and with your support, we hired our first-ever Grow Dat interns! Since November, interns in native restoration, satellite/partnerships, and communications have been working alongside Grow Dat staff- seeding our native meadow, working in collaboration with Piece by Peace garden in Hollygrove, and sharing stories of our programs and fields in our newsletter. We launched these internships with the hope of giving program alumni more pathways to remain employed at Grow Dat after graduation, to skill share and empower our young people further, and to keep youth voice centered in our work across departments.

In anticipation of tomorrow, Give NOLA Day, check out this video made by our communications intern, Hannah. To show your support of Grow Dat young leaders and to support sustainable agriculture and food distribution in New Orleans, donate now towards our Give NOLA Day goal! Link in bio 🌼🌟
Catch one last History of the Land workshop at Grow Dat before this program year ends! Next Wednesday, May 6th, from 4:30 - 6:30 PM, join us on the farm for a youth-led workshop that explores what Grow Dat's farmland looked like in the past. RSVP now through the link in our bio, we hope to see you there!
Something we've been really proud of on the farm is the growth of our native meadow (you may have noticed from all our posting, or been introduced to its magic at the farm dinner scavenger hunt)!! Our crews, interns, staff, and volunteers have worked hard to rewild this beautiful space on the farm, first clearing out the invasive weeds and then planting seeds of indigenous species in their place. This is just the first of multiple projects Grow Dat has dreamed up in the hopes of increasing land diversity and climate resiliency both on our farm and across the city. If you are interested in supporting more of this work, support Grow Dat's young leaders this GiveNOLA Day, early giving starts Tuesday, April 28th!!

If you were unable to grab tickets this year, and still want to support our amazing young leaders and urban farm, remember us on GiveNOLA Day, this May 5th!
Our program year kicked off a few weeks ago with 40 new young leaders coming to the farm, and with plenty of new ways on the calendar for you to join us. With Mardi Gras around the corner, now is the perfect time to dust the glitter off your planner and save the date!
Thank you so much to our partners and supporters for growing with us in 2025! We are so excited to share our latest annual report!! We hope you see the incredible impact of our community (you!) reflected in its pages and that you take inspiration from our young leaders with you into the new year πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸŽ‰
Happy GiveNOLA Day from all of us at Grow Dat!! Seeing our community show up for us, and for so many other wonderful local organizations, fills us with gratitude and motivation that we harness all year long.

This year's GiveNOLA Day is especially significant as we have also been focused on protecting our future in City Park so we can continue our land-based work with a diverse group of young leaders for decades to come. Through your donation, you make our five paid youth leadership programs possible and support our continued existence in City Park. Link in bio to donate now!!

Special thank you to for capturing our farm and young people in their own words about how Grow Dat continues to be a site of learning and positive transformation!
