Now, with their last day of classes and IB exams behind them, our seniors are celebrating Senior Week and looking ahead to final milestones together, including receiving their last yearbooks. This tradition reminds seniors how far they have come, while giving our youngest learners a glimpse of what their own future at Graded may hold.
Yearbooks will be available to the rest of the community beginning Monday. Check the Eagle News for more information about household distribution and how to get additional copies.
The event also included a special moment of recognition for upper school music teachers Mr. Gui Faria and Ms. Tina Pederzolli, celebrating their dedication to and support of student musicians at Graded.
Congratulations to all of the performers and teachers who helped make the concert such a special musical evening!

After years of absorbing information from others, Theory of Knowledge (TOK), an IB Diploma Programme course, invites students to step back and ask: “How do we know?”
In the 5th annual Theory of Knowledge Exhibition at Graded, students examined a single knowledge question (a question about the concept of knowledge and what it means to know) through three carefully chosen objects and accompanying commentaries.
The selected objects reflected different perspectives and explored how knowledge is shaped by culture, experience, evidence, memory, and personal interpretation. Throughout the exhibition, visitors moved from display to display, engaging in conversations with students, guided by their own intellectual curiosity and prompts such as, “Why is it important to find real-world connections for your learning?”
The exhibition creates space for reflection on the nature of knowledge itself, encouraging students and attendees alike to consider how knowledge is constructed, questioned, communicated, and understood from different points of view.
Of course, it was only make-believe. Backstage, camp counselors rushed to bring the vision to life using whatever they had on hand. Moments later, the improvised polar bears arrived, ready to warm up the children and, most importantly, turn their imaginations into a learning experience.
Scenes like this were not unusual. They were part of a larger approach to learning—one that senior Gabriela F. had grown up with and would later help lead.

The Graded community was treated to more than just three wishes with a magical staging of Disney’s Aladdin Jr.
From beautiful renditions of beloved songs and energetic choreography to intricate set design, vibrant costumes, and scene-stealing comedic performances, this production was worthy of a magic carpet ride.
Congratulations to the cast and crew, parent and staff volunteers, and especially to co-directors Manuela B. and Gustavo B., whose vision and dedication made Graded’s first student-directed musical a huge success. 🧞
This production was sponsored by the Graded Annual Fund.
This literary showdown brought students together over several rounds of competition, where teams tested their knowledge of selected titles through fast-paced trivia battles.
After weeks of reading and competition featuring Alone, Space Case, Kareem Between, Blood in the Water, and War Games, the Bookaholics and team NALEXAN faced off in the Haddad Center on Monday, with the Bookaholics retaining their title of champions for the third year in a row.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Battle a success, especially the Graded Annual Fund, which provided all 90 copies of this year’s titles for the teams to read!
Last week, our community gathered for the Hearty Bowls Dinner, a special evening organized by Lucinha Ariani and the Hearty Bowls student club in support of ACTC - Casa do Coração.
Guests shared soups from around the world and took home handcrafted ceramic bowls created throughout the year by Graded students, parents, faculty, and staff. Each bowl represented not only artistic effort, but also the care and generosity behind this long-standing tradition.
All proceeds from the event support children and adolescents undergoing heart treatment in São Paulo through ACTC.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so heartwarming.
