🚤 HOW DOES THE BOAT GET ON & OFF THE ROOF?!

After getting heaps of questions about the setup on the Chevy, here’s a full look at how the boat unloads from the roof using the incredible Mozzi Boat Loaders

This Aussie-made invention is an absolute game changer for travelers, campers, fishos, and anyone who wants to take a boat on the road without the heavy lifting. 💪🇦🇺

Watch how quickly and easily the boat slides on and off the roof — no stress, no complicated setup, just more time exploring and enjoying the water. 🌊🔥

We’re almost at the finish line after 4 days of driving 🚗💨

I’ll admit… the last 2 days I gave in and grabbed a couple of lunches I don’t usually go for 😅🍔🍗 (yep… KFC and Hungry Jack’s 🙈)

Long drive days just hit different! Who else finds themselves doing the same on road trips?? 😂👇

Ten convicts get told to build a ship… so of course they knock it together, nick it, and make a run for Chile. 🚢💨

The Ship That Never Was is a proper chaotic, crowd-involved comedy based on a true story, where a bunch of prisoners turn a basic job into one of the cheekiest escape plans going. Their excuse? Yeah… you’ll have to see it for yourself 👀

Expect plenty of yelling, dodgy scheming, getting the crowd involved (fair warning—we got hauled up on stage), and a whole lot of “this is absolutely not going to plan.”

If you’re doing the, checking out the Gordon River and Macquarie Harbour, catch the show the night before—it all just clicks.

The Overland Track has been on my bucket list for years, so to finally complete it solo this year — and mark 3.5 years on the road on my last day — was pretty special.

Here’s a quick rundown of the trip (data from AllTrails, I downloaded the maps for offline use):

• Hiked from Ronny Creek to Cynthia Bay
• 7 days, 6 nights on track (originally planned for 8 days, 7 nights)
• Side trips included Cradle Summit and Lake Will, D’Alton, Fergusson and Hartnett Falls
• Total distance: 99.6 km
• Elevation gain: 3,094 m
• Time hiking: 34.75 hours (plus breaks)

I packed food for 9 days as a safety margin (8.1 kg of food).
Total pack weight was 24 kg plus water (yep… heavy 😅), included 2 kg of camera gear, a book, and a 400 g power bank.

What would I change? Not much.

Sure, I could go lighter, but that would mean investing in ultralight gear, and I can’t justify the cost. I’d rather train harder and get used to carrying the weight — which really only hurt me on day one.

Would I do it again? Absolutely.

For anyone thinking about doing this track — I hope this helps. I was honestly pretty daunted during the planning stage, but I’m so glad I pushed myself to do it.

Do you need to be prepared? 100%. This is not a casual stroll.
Just a week after I finished, people were dealing with waist-deep snow. Take it seriously.

A massive thank you to all the incredible people I met along the way — you made the experience even better.

If you’ve enjoyed following along, let me know! And if you want more info, feel free to reach out.

Please hit follow and like to see where I end up next — plenty more hikes planned across a couple of states this year.

See you soon on *The Lap That Never Ends*.

The Wall In the Wilderness at Derwent Bridge is an amazing display of woodcarving mastery and a lesson in patience and perseverance and needs to be seen to be believed…..unfortunately at the request of the artist no photographs etc are aloud inside….so you will just have to come and have a look!!!! #thewallinthewilderness #tasmania #woodcarving
Spent the afternoon going through some photos from our Tassie trip, and realised I’ve got so many I never shared! 📸✨

Here are a few snaps from an epic afternoon at the beach at Waterhouse Point – Village Green Campground a couple of months ago 🌊🏕️

We absolutely lucked out with everything — the weather ☀️, the campsite 🏕️, the neighbours… honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect! 🙌

Such a stunning spot to camp, and the weather… OMG it was incredible!!! 😍🔥

I'm looking forward to more of these days when we head north soon on, "The Lap That Never Ends"

We’ve been chilling in Deloraine, Tasmania for a couple of nights and OMG 😍 the Meander River right behind Apex Caravan Park is FULL of platypus!! 🦆💧

We literally sat in the caravan this afternoon watching a couple of them forage around… cutest thing EVER 🥹💕 but wow they do NOT stay still long enough for a decent photo 😂📸

Nature really said “blink and you’ll miss it” 😅

Who else has actually seen a platypus in the wild?! 👀👇

The Tesellated Pavement at Eaglehawk Neck Tasmania is Nature really saying “let me show off” with the Tiled Rocks 🤯🌊

These incredible formations were created around 300 million years ago, shaped from siltstone and slowly cracked apart by the Earth’s natural movements. But here’s where it gets wild—over time, salt crystals and the relentless waves of the Tasman Sea carved deeper and deeper into those cracks, turning them into the perfectly patterned masterpiece you see today 🧩✨

It’s one of those places that makes you stop, stare, and wonder how something like this can be formed🌍💙
