This year we launched the Virtual Guard of Honour - a new way for fans to get involved and support the appeal from the comfort of their own home. Combined with proceeds from ticket sales, club auctions and contributions from players, Latrobe Health Services, Mazda, McDonalds, the AFL and 13Cabs, SuperClash this year raised a record breaking $337,162 💚
Thank you to our SuperClash Ambassadors, Parker and Paisley, for sharing your story and being a big part of the game. On Good Friday they led the reverse guard of honour onto the field, a special moment for all patients, families and healthcare workers involved.
North Melbourne Football Club shows their support of the Good Friday Appeal year round, for which we are incredibly grateful.

As the iconic sound of fire truck sirens ring out across the state on Good Friday morning, more than a thousand CFA volunteers from 225 brigades take to the streets rattling tins and collecting donations.
As we reflect on this milestone year for the CFA, we acknowledge their ongoing commitment to community service. Even in communities impacted by bushfires earlier in the year, volunteers showed up to give back - a powerful testament to the resilience and generosity that defines the CFA.
A massive thank you goes out to all members of the CFA who play a part in not only the Good Friday Appeal, but in the wider community as well 💜💚
From coordinating the fun at Kids Day Out, counting cash in the Money Counting Room, taking donations in the Phone Room or shaking tins at SuperClash - the GFA purple army played an integral part in the success of the 2026 Good Friday Appeal 💜
We'd like to give a shoutout to Steph, Anthony, Andy, Carly and Matt for volunteering as photographers on the day, and Jane and Ethan for for supporting the media team with content creation 💚
This year we were also supported by 56 Collection Groups across Metropolitan Melbourne who were out knocking on doors and collecting at intersections. These groups contributed over $940,000 on the day! Over 600 volunteers from our Collection Groups came into the Money Counting Room to deliver their collected cash.
Our Regional fundraising events are led by 221 Volunteer Area Managers who this year coordinated over $5.9M in donations from Regional Victoria and Southern NSW.
The power of volunteering should never be underestimated!

Shashi and his team started collecting for the Good Friday Appeal in 1997.
He says the secret to his collection groups success is the community he has built around him. He collects for the Good Friday Appeal to help others, as he believes this is how he can give back to those who have helped him.

Before birth, Oliver was diagnosed with Truncus Arteriosus, a rare and complex heart defect. He had developed a large hole between the two pumping chambers of his heart and just one blood vessel from his heart instead of two.
At just four weeks old, Oliver underwent complex open-heart surgery, followed by another when he was two to upgrade the tube that now connects his heart chambers.
Now six years old, Oliver is at school and thriving thanks to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
Today, Oliver is ‘confident, independent and proud’. He’s thriving and fulfilling normal milestones. His Cardiologist, Dr Robert, is pleased by his growth and development and says he “doesn’t think his heart will limit him”.
Oliver's mum, Jacinta, says “The Royal Children’s Hospital gave Oliver a second chance at life”

Whilst on holiday in Melbourne, her parents sought another opinion at The Royal Children’s Hospital for a persistent rash and ear infections.
One visit led to a diagnosis: high‑risk, multisystem Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), a rare disease where immune cells build up and cause damage.
Within days, Alissa began chemotherapy and steroids, but there was no response. A stronger second-line chemotherapy was trialled; leaving Alissa constantly nauseous and vomiting.
Her team then moved to a newer targeted therapy, used by very few children worldwide. The change was almost immediate. “Within days she was back to being like a healthy, normal child,” says her dad, Nicholas. Today, the treatment keeps her disease switched off with minimal side effects.
Now three, Alissa is thriving. Her parents are profoundly grateful to The Royal Children’s Hospital for its expertise and compassionate care, crediting the team with saving Alissa’s life.
