Hi… I’m Aslan, a 4-year-old boy.
I came all the way from Oman because I didn’t have a chance at a loving home there. I was struggling to survive on the streets — sick, injured, and doing my best to make it through each day on my own.
Kind rescuers stepped in and now I’m here with GMS — safe, loved, and ready for the next chapter of my life.
As of today I’ve been waiting for 100 days since becoming available for adoption in SF! 😿
I’m blind, and when I first arrive somewhere new, I need a little time to learn the space and settle in. A quiet, calm home would help me feel most comfortable. But once I acclimate? You’d be amazed at how confidently I navigate the world.
Honestly, most of the time people forget I’m blind. I jump on and off furniture, find my favorite sunny spots, race around with my toys, and expertly map out my surroundings. I’m incredibly smart and adaptable, and I can even recognize people just from the sound of their footsteps or voices.
I’m very chatty in the sweetest, most endearing way. I love being close to my people and feeling like part of the family. When you walk into the room, I’ll greet you with soft squeaks, gentle trills, and happy little meows that sound like tiny conversations. And if I hear people laughing or spending time together without me, I may softly call out because more than anything, I just want to be near the people I love.
I am one of the cuddliest cats you will ever meet. Truly. I want to be curled up with my people as much as possible. I’ll happily sit in your lap purring away, tuck my head under your chin, give headbutts and kisses, and gently place my paw on your face just to be close to you.
My purr motor is loud, soothing, and basically therapeutic. I’m the perfect work-from-home companion, couch potato, lap warmer, and emotional support orange boy.
I also love to play — especially with catnip mice. I’ll toss them around, entertain myself for long stretches, and I even sometimes play fetch. But at the end of the day, human laps will always be my favorite place to be.

Hi… I’m Percy, an 11-year-old boy.
I’ve been through a big change recently—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t take me along. I might be a little shy when we first meet, so just give me a few days to warm up—and I promise it’ll be worth it.
In a new space, I like to find a quiet spot to settle in and take things in at my own pace. But once I feel safe, my true personality comes through…
I’m a big, handsome American Shorthair with soft white fur, bright green eyes, a dashing black patch above one eye, and a little black band around my tail. I’m also a senior gentleman, which means I’ve perfected the art of being a loving, easygoing companion.
And my favorite thing in the world? Snuggling.
Truly—there is nowhere I’d rather be than curled up with my person. If you have a lap, I will happily claim it. Quiet time together, cozy evenings, just being close… that’s what makes me happiest.
I get along well with other cats and could do well either as your one and only or with a feline friend.
I’m a big boy and will need to be meal fed a wet food diet to help keep me healthy. I do tend to get a little excited about food, so it’s easiest if I’m fed separately to make sure everyone gets their fair share. I’m looking for someone who can help me stay on a healthy routine—and the rescue will be there to support you along the way.
What I’m really looking for is a calm, loving home that will give me a little time to settle in—and then enjoy all the affection I have to give.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company and warm your lap, I might just be your guy.

Hi there! I’m Cinnamon, a 1-year-old girl, and if you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion, I might just be your girl.
I’m the kind of cat who wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Sometimes new things can make me pause for a moment, but my curiosity always wins. I may take a second to gather my courage, but before long I’ll be back to investigate and see what all the excitement is about.
One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is how much I love affection. I’ll headbutt your hands, rub against your legs, and happily soak up all the pets you can offer. I’ve even earned the nickname “Rolly Polly” because I love flopping onto my back and rolling around until someone gives me attention. And yes—belly rubs are absolutely welcome!
I’m also a playful girl. Shoelaces are one of my favorite toys, and I love carrying around and batting my little stuffies. Lately, I’ve even discovered that climbing the couch is pretty fun, so I think there’s a little adventurer hiding inside me that’s becoming more confident every day.
No matter what’s going on around me, I’ve always been a sweet and gentle soul. Even when I’ve felt scared or uncertain, I’ve never been aggressive. I much prefer making friends, getting pets, and being part of the family.
If you’re looking for a kind-hearted companion with a playful spirit, a curious mind, and lots of love to give, I’d love to meet you.
Love, Cinnamon

Meet Sardine, affectionately known as Dinie or Dinie Girl.
This beautiful 7-year-old calico girl was rescued from Fresno in 2020 and has been charming everyone she meets ever since. Sardine is a FIP Warrior who has long since completed her remission period and is thriving.
Dinie is the total package—playful, affectionate, and wonderfully well-mannered. She loves spending time with her people and enjoys chin scratches, ear rubs, and gentle pets along her back. She also happens to be quite the little athlete. Her favorite games include chasing laser pointers, pouncing on strings, and hunting rabbit fur mice. Give her a cardboard box with a few strategically placed holes and she’ll happily spend hours playing “sneak attack” with her favorite toys.
When she’s not playing, Sardine can usually be found lounging on a cozy blanket, watching birds from the window, or enjoying a fresh breeze. She’s an excellent mouser, loves her daily brushing sessions, and happily accepts her weekly nail trims like the well-behaved lady she is. She’s even learned a few commands and understands “down,” “off,” and the snap of fingers that means “no.”
Sardine has food allergies, so she eats a prescription diet to keep her happy and healthy. She’s very good about her special food, and it helps her feel her best.
Like any calico, Sardine has a few opinions of her own. Despite her name, she has absolutely no interest in fish. Roasted chicken, however, is another story entirely—she comes running the moment she realizes one is being prepared. Freeze-dried chicken liver treats are also high on her list of favorites.
Sardine is looking for a quiet adult-only home where she can be the center of attention. She would do best as your one and only pet, where she can settle in, feel secure, and enjoy all the love and playtime she deserves.
If you’re looking for a sweet, engaging cat with plenty of personality and a playful spirit, Sardine may be your perfect match.
Hi! I’m Cookie, a 1-year-old girl, and if you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s happiest by your side, I think we might be a purrfect match.
Once I get to know you, I’m the kind of girl who will happily follow you from room to room just to be close. My favorite place in the whole world? Curled up in your lap... or even better, stretched out across your chest while you relax. I absolutely adore being petted, and I’ll never complain if you want to spend extra time giving me scritches.
I’m a curious little explorer, too. I love checking out cozy hiding spots around the house and seeing what everyone is up to. I have the cutest little chirps when I want to tell you something, and they’re guaranteed to make you smile.
When it’s playtime, I’m a fan of feather toys, but I especially love kicking and wrestling with my favorite kicker toys all by myself. I’m perfectly happy entertaining myself before coming back for more cuddles.
I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give me a little time and I’ll warm up quickly. One of my funny little quirks is that I much prefer people when they’re sitting or lying down—it makes cuddle time so much easier!
I’d be happiest as your one and only cat, where I can soak up all of your love and attention. If you’re dreaming of a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to snuggle close, keep you company, and fill your home with gentle chirps and endless affection, I can’t wait to meet you.
Hi! I’m Snickerdoodle, a 2-year-old boy, but my foster calls me Snicks, and if you’re looking for a cat who believes there’s no such thing as too much affection... I think we might be a perfect match.
It only took me a few days to settle into my foster home, and once I realized I was safe, my true personality came shining through. My favorite place in the world is wherever my people are. I’ll happily follow you from room to room, supervise your day, and politely remind you if you accidentally close the bathroom door without me.
I’m the kind of cat who could never get enough pets. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Head scratches? Absolutely. Gentle cuddles? The more, the better. At night, I’ll curl up against your legs and sleep there contentedly until morning. I’m still discovering just how wonderful laps can be, but I already love stretching out beside you with my head and one paw draped across your lap. Every now and then, I’ll surprise you by climbing right into your lap—and those moments are pretty special.
I’m a calm, easygoing guy who wins over just about everyone I meet. When visitors come over, I’ll often greet them with my signature move: flopping onto my side, purring away, and soaking up every bit of attention they’re willing to give. I’m also happy to be picked up and carried around, and once I’ve settled into a new home, I adjust quickly and don’t get rattled by much.
When it’s playtime, I’m surprisingly talented. My favorite game is fetch with a plastic spring. I’ll bring it right back to your hand so you can throw it again—and if your throw isn’t quite good enough, I’ll carry it a little farther before returning it for another round. I’m very gentle with people, careful with both my teeth and ).

Hi! We’re Cheez-It and Dorito — two rare orange tabby 1-year-old sisters with matching big personalities, endless curiosity, and absolutely no understanding of personal space 🧡🧡
As a bonded pair, we do everything together. We zoom through the house together, wrestle together, flop dramatically on top of each other together, and occasionally team up to investigate places we definitely shouldn’t be able to reach. We’re orange cats, after all. Being a little ridiculous is part of our charm.
Dorito (Short Hair) I’m usually the first to investigate anything new. I’m adventurous, playful, and almost always ready for action. I love chasing ribbons, gazing out the window, weaving around your legs, and dramatically flopping at your feet for attention. I’m becoming more affectionate every day and have even been known to “steal” pets from Cheez-It because I simply cannot wait my turn anymore.
Cheez-It (Long Hair) I like to take my time and observe before diving in, but once I trust you, you’ll quickly discover that I was absolutely meant to be adored. I love chin scratches, catnip, lounging on my back batting lazily at toys, and quietly keeping watch until the perfect ambush moment during playtime. I may be a little cautious at first, but once you’re accepted into my circle, congratulations — you are officially my lifelong “Pets Giver.”
Together, we’re playful, silly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. We love attention and interactive playtime, but we’ll also need a family willing to give us a little patience as we settle into a new home. Once we feel safe, our personalities really shine.
We’re looking for a home that appreciates a little joyful orange-cat energy, plenty of play sessions, and the very special bond between two sisters who truly adore each other.

Hi! I’m Purrince, a 3-year-old boy, and yes, I know what you’re thinking.
“That’s a very big cat.”
You’re right—I tip the scales at around 14 pounds. But in my heart? I’m convinced I’m the perfect lap-sized kitty. If you sit down, there’s a very good chance I’ll climb into your lap, rest my head on your hand (or your feet), and settle in for a cozy cuddle.
Before Give Me Shelter rescued me from the Stockton shelter, I wasn’t feeling my best. I was a favorite with the volunteers, but I was at risk simply because I had stomatitis. Thankfully, the rescue got me the dental care I desperately needed. Most of my sore teeth were removed, and now I feel so much better.
I’m the kind of cat who wants to be wherever you are. Folding laundry? I’ll supervise. Working on your computer? I can help with that too (whether you need it or not). Walking from one room to another? I’ll happily follow along. I just enjoy being part of whatever you’re doing.
When it’s time to relax, I’m all about the cuddles. I’ll nap beside you on the couch, curl up on soft blankets and pillows, or gently headbutt your hand to remind you that pets are always appreciated. If I’m especially relaxed, I absolutely melt for a nice face massage. And from the very first day in foster care, I proved I’m an expert biscuit maker.
I’m playful too! Wand toys and little toy mice are some of my favorites, and I love stretching out on my cat tower to keep an eye on everything. Despite my impressive size, I still try to squeeze into spaces that are clearly designed for much smaller cats. My foster says I genuinely believe I’m tiny—and honestly, I don’t see the problem.
I’m friendly with everyone I meet and love making new friends. I’m usually pretty quiet, unless dinner is on the way or I’m excited to see you. Like any cat, I’ll politely let you know if I need a little personal space, but most of the time I’m happiest being close to my people.
