May is Melanoma Awareness Month, and throughout this month we have been bringing attention to one of the most serious forms of skin cancer. While melanoma represents a smaller share of skin cancer cases, its potential severity makes awareness, timely action, and education especially important. It is a diagnosis that should never be underestimated.

To support our community, we are sharing our melanoma resources page, created to bring together helpful information and inspiring healing stories from recovered Gerson patients.

Hungarian Cottage Cheese Cream (“Körözött”) is a simple, colorful classic made with fat-free cottage cheese, paprika, finely chopped red onion, and a pinch of ground cumin.

🍞 At the licensed clinic in Hungary preparations like this can help add variety and comfort alongside a traditional Gerson meal, or be served as a snack with Gerson bread at home.

Within the Gerson Therapy, cottage cheese or plain yogurt may be included only when a guiding Gerson Practitioner considers it appropriate and needed for a patient’s individual protocol.

Recovered patient Zsóka from the shares: “In September 2000, two words changed my life: malignant melanoma. After the diagnosis (Clark level III) and surgery, I decided to take my health into my own hands. In November 2001, I began the Gerson Therapy."

She continues, "It was not easy, but I stayed committed: more than a dozen freshly pressed juices a day, including carrot-apple and Gerson green juice, daily coffee [breaks], and unwavering perseverance. After completing the intensive therapy, I was able to return to work and remained active until my retirement in 2009. The method helped ensure that I was the one to decide when to retire, not the disease. For about 20 years, I continued following a Gerson lifestyle, essentially a lighter version of the therapy. Since then, I have continued to make every effort to cook and eat with high-quality, organic ingredients."

"Today, more than 25 years later, I am alive, active, and feeling well. Healing is a marathon, not a sprint. To everyone currently on this path, my message is simple: keep going. Your health is worth every single glass of vegetable juice.”

🙌 We honor those who have faced, and those who are still facing, the reality of a melanoma diagnosis. We are also deeply grateful for patients like Zsóka, who placed their healing in the knowledge, structure, and long-term commitment of the Gerson approach.

The Gerson Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and it is not a short journey. It asks for consistency, discipline, and sustained commitment over time. If you are in need of having your case assessed, please contact us at
🙌🏻When Irene first noticed a tiny black mole on the inside of her knee, she asked her doctor if it looked suspicious. Twice, she was told it was nothing to worry about. But the mole kept changing quickly, and when it was finally removed, she was diagnosed with Stage III melanoma.

With two young children at home and no clear guidance on how to strengthen her body afterward, Irene knew she needed to look deeper. In early 1997, she traveled to the licensed Gerson clinic in Mexico to learn the therapy and returned home determined to follow it faithfully.

The first months were demanding. Between hourly juicing, enemas, meal preparation, and caring for her family, Irene reached a point of deep exhaustion. But with the support of her mother, her husband, and a friend who stepped in when she needed it most, she kept going.

Today, nearly three decades later, Irene remains deeply grateful for the support she received and for the healing path she chose.

This year marks 21 years since Dr. Max Gerson was inducted into the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame by the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine.

He was recognized not only as a physician, but as a visionary in natural healing whose work was far ahead of its time. Decades earlier, Dr. Gerson had already published A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases, a scientific monograph built on thirty years of clinical observation, refinement, and documented case work that continues to inspire people around the world.

His legacy is not only one of innovation, but of compassion. To know his name is to understand a form of medicine that looked beyond symptoms and believed deeply in the body’s capacity to heal when given the right support. As Albert Schweitzer famously said, “I see in Dr. Max Gerson one of the most eminent geniuses in medical history.”

In 2005, Charlotte Gerson and her son Howard Straus accepted this honor on his behalf.

Jesse was diagnosed with Stage II Melanoma at a young age and found himself facing a life-altering crossroads: a conventional path that could have left him permanently unable to walk, or a very different healing route he had never considered.

Within weeks of his diagnosis, he entered the licensed Gerson clinic in Mexico and began the therapy.

Jesse has also been a generous and consistent donor, and we are deeply grateful for the way he continues to give back. Since his recovery, he has gone on to build a beautiful family and welcome two sons. His support alone would already mean so much, but there is something uniquely moving in knowing that his eldest son carries the middle name Gerson. ❤️

Freshly prepared juices are a central part of the Gerson Therapy, alongside the therapeutic diet, targeted supplementation, and detoxification.

Here, Mago from the licensed clinic in Mexico, shows the preparation of the Gerson Green Juice, one of the juices most closely associated with the therapy. Its ingredients are not random, trendy, or interchangeable. Each one has a specific place within a carefully structured nutritional approach developed to support the body’s metabolic needs.

This is not a cleanse, and it is not “just a juice.” Within the Gerson Therapy, these freshly prepared juices are used as part of a broader system and are made daily for each patient with consistency and purpose.

It is the same juice prepared at the clinic and the same one many members of the Gerson community continue preparing at home as part of their commitment to the therapy’s nutritional principles.
