We waited almost 4 hours, watching hundreds of wildebeest gather on the edge, hesitating. Sometimes they stand there for days and turn back… but then suddenly, one jumps - and chaos starts. Thousands follow, splashing into the river, fighting the current, while crocodiles were attacking.
On the other side, many struggled to climb out of the mud and some didn’t make it. Brutal and beautiful at the same time. What an insane experience🐃🦓🐊

Mahé is the biggest, with beautiful beaches and great hiking. Praslin has the famous Anse Lazio and a unique palm forest called Vallée de Mai. La Digue is smaller and super relaxed — bikes instead of cars and postcard-perfect beaches.
It’s really easy to get between the islands by ferry, and since they’re all pretty small, you can see a lot without feeling rushed. A great mix of switching off and exploring.
