I turned 30 today🎉My 20s were full of challenges, failures, and lessons along with plenty of moments of deep reflection. But every experience has shaped me, and now it’s time to take things to the next level. I spent my 20s living freely and selfishly, but in my 30s, I want to live with a spirit of giving, for the sake of others and the world. My future is so bright, I gotta wear sunglasses.

Happy New Year 2025!

Last month, I was planning to go to India, but I decided to change my life plans and started working for LiNew, a Japanese IT company based in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Looking back on my 20s, I realized how much time I spent focusing on myself. It was an incredibly fun journey, but at times, it felt lonely.

In my 30s, I want to dedicate myself to others and the world. I want to work with a team to accomplish something big—something I couldn’t achieve on my own.

Right now, I’m fully committed to helping LiNew’s YouTube channel, 「LiNew リニュー」 (please subscribe!), grow together with Jospin, an IT engineer from Congo🇨🇩.

Our goal is to reach 1 million subscribers.

Of course, I’ll still travel whenever I have free time and continue creating content for my own YouTube channel. And yes, my next destination is still India 🇮🇳. I hope you’ll keep subscribing and supporting me as I pursue what I love.

Love you all ❤️

Things I like about Denmark

No.5 Public Transportation
The metro runs 24/7, and it's incredibly convenient.
The public transport network is well-connected, clean, and super reliable.

No.4 Danish chocolates
Anthon Berg is one of Denmark’s oldest and most famous chocolate brands. I love the combination of the chocolate and marzipan. They’re absolutely delicious.

No.3 Cycling infrastructure
In Japan, it's common to ride a bicycle as well, but you can’t compare it to how wide and well-designed the bike lanes are in Denmark. There are no trees or obstacles in the way—everything is cleared to make room for cyclists.

No.2 City design
Statues are everywhere, and all the green spaces, simple bike lanes make the overall city layout in Copenhagen stunning. I also love how they mix modern buildings with older ones, both are beautiful.

No.1 Danish pastries
In Japan, we’re just as familiar with Danish pastries as sushi is in Denmark. But you can’t beat the authentic pastries here in Denmark. The taste and quality are extraordinary.

Things I like about Norway

No. 6 Haaland
He is the legendary Norwegian football player. Japanese football fans, including me, admire the hell out of him.

No.5 People
They are very kind and even friendlier than I expected. I felt very comfortable being here. I like Norwegians.

No.4 Brown cheese “Brunost”
Brunost is a traditional Norwegian goat cheese. It has an acquired taste and even Norwegians either love or dislike it, but I love it!

No.3 Cleanliness
The streets are so clean, and the tap water is clean too. It’s considered some of the best tap water in the world.

No.2 Healthy society system
Norway has a high cost of living, partly due to a 25% VAT. But this supports free education, healthcare, and strong social services, ensuring a healthy society, which I’m envious of.

No.1 Salmon
It goes without saying that Norwegian salmon is the best in the world. Thank you Norway for introducing your Atlantic Salmon to Japan🍣

Things I don’t like about Sweden

No.1: The public restroom costs 15 Krona ($1.4) at the shopping mall in Kista area. One day, I couldn’t hold my No.1 and No.2 any longer and had to pay the fee.

ーーー

Things I like about Sweden

No. 5: The proximity to water
It’s easy to find beautiful water views in most places in Stockholm.

No.4 Dog-frienliness
In Sweden, dogs are welcome almost everywhere. I saw them on trains, in malls, and even at the airport.

No.3 Healthy Work-Life Balance
In Sweden, there’s a much better work-life balance than in Japan. For example, in Sweden parental leave is common for both women and men, with over 90% of men taking it, unlike in Japan, where only 17% do.

No.2 Eco-friendliness
Sweden is very eco-friendly, focusing on recycling, renewable energy, and reducing carbon emissions.
Japan is trying to be eco-friendly but still uses a ridiculous amount of plastics in everyday life.

No.1 Swedish Beet Salad (RÖDBETSSALLAD)
It’s the best invention Sweden has ever come up with. This deserves a Nobel Prize. It’s creamy, a little sweet, and a bit tangy. I’ve missed out for 29 years of my life not knowing this existed. Japan, we should definitely import this.

It was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my 29-year life. It was so delicious. It’s a must-try food when you come to Finland. I’d recommend going to Löyly!

No.2: safety
In Finland, I never felt like anything would be stolen or that I was in danger or killed.

No.3: Brightness at night (in summer)
I think it’s familiar and nothing special for people in Northern Europe, but it’s pretty strange to me that it’s still bright at 10:00 pm or even 11:00 pm. It’s perfect for night owls like me.

No.4: People
People are kind and lovely. I really felt their hospitality.

No.5: Cleanliness
The streets and public transportation are so clean. And I couldn’t find any places outside that smelled like weed or pee.

No.2: People I’ve met in South Korea have been super nice to me, from restaurant staff, hotel staff to random people.

No.3: The free side dishes service. We should introduce this system in Japan as well.
