After the trip I got sick with some nasty flu, been up and down since, and still haven't recovered properly.
Therefore, I need to take a longer rest from climbing and running, sadly. I will start with some finger training in a week or two, as well some basic exercises. In three weeks I will hopefully be fit again to kick off my 2026 training 🤘🏼😇

Two weeks ago I visited my brother and his family. I had a wonderful time! We played instruments, drove the F1 simulator, climbed in Glenn and enjoyed the power and sounds of the majestic Niagara Falls. I even did my first Trick-or-Treating 😁 the decorations there went wild!

Last week I visited my hometown friend in Vancouver and she took me to some gorgeous spots in the area. We even managed to get two climbing days in Squamish in the rain season, more than I had hoped for! joined us for a day and we finally got to catch up after a year without international competitions for both of us 😁
I got to meet a bunch of other locals, see beautiful mountains, the ocean, forests, even a sea lion! Luckily no bears 😅
Had a little catch-up with and ❤️ whom I haven't seen in way too long.

Chain reaction is the most interesting and exciting boulder I did on that day. It was a V9, got downgraded to 8 but does feel like smth in between 😁, not easy in any case. I definitely had to take deep breaths up there. Thankful for my brother's spotting and pad adjustments 🙌🏻

It is a very interesting route with a changing dynamic and rhythm of moves and it doesn't let you catch a breather for almost the whole damn length.
Fell more than a few times at the very top, just couldn't keep it together.
But today was the day, pretty happy about it, since this line has very few repetitions and this sector is very pretty. It was a fun process of perfecting the moves together with and a few other occasional project warriors 😁
It felt quite tough for an 8b+ but that is how it is around Frankenjura 😁👍🏻

Unfortunately the routes in semifinals and finals were not on the right level, leading to many equal results and 4 tops in the finals. Due to the countback, the winner grabbed a very thin advantage, however a deserved one - Rafael Kazbekova, also someone who is continuing a story - of her bigger sister
