This was a vicious, unprovoked attack by PJ Mooney at night when we were half-way walking to a friendâs place with two female friends that he had no invite to. He was acting strangely while he had been asked and then told many times along the way to leave before he completely snapped when told again to leave us alone.
When asked by The Sunday World, PJ only admitted to punching me. But witnesses and CCTV footage show he also continued to kick me multiple times while unconcious on the ground. He had to be taken off and kept away from me by three people because he wouldnât stop trying to get to me to continue his assault, even when I had no ability to defend myself. My shoulder was broken.
The criminal case finished this year after six years in court. After 4 years in, PJ Mooney changed his plea to Guilty the day before the scheduled trial. PJ did not receive a Conviction or Criminal Record. A separate Injuries Board assessment resulted in PJ paying Damages in 2023.

It wasnât legal for us to get married in Australia and we werenât ready yet for a big wedding in Canada. For us, this was what made sense. And we made many happy memories that weekend and weâre excited to celebrate 10 years together as husbands.
