'Finished' painting this 90s space marine from. Been self isolating all week due to being ill, so don't have access to basing supplies, unfortunately. Still, this was a fun model to paint, and was a nice excuse to paint something older. Painted it as a Preator of Orpheus, mostly to paint it white with blue trim.

So Leviathan came out today, and to celebrate I've painted up one of the new Terminators as a fun personal project. It's painted as a Castellan of the Rift, which means I was able to imagine this color scheme on a member of the 1st company. I used a modified version of the color scheme shared in the October 2017 issue of White Dwarf, by.

WiP on my custom Votann League. Been busy lately with personal life stuff (good stuff, I promise!). Getting ready to move and start a new career which I'm very excited for! So painting has been put on the back burner the past couple months while all that gets sorted. But, I got this model for free last month and really wanted to paint it. I also ordered a few extra bits online to see if I like them, so hopefully I won't need to cover the chest with the rifle. I also need to consider what iconography I want, and possibly some custom transfers. Might be neat to paint up a unit of these guys for GD in the future.

Current WiP shots of a unit of Brutes I'm working on. Aiming for something similar to the box art for these. Still need to do a ton of cleanup, but seeing them together feels pretty good. This has been a great lesson, so far, in batch painting to this level. Feels like I've learned a lot already.

I wanted to post these 'Eavy Metal style marines I painted a few months ago. Painting marines like this is a nice palate cleanser, since there is very little guess work in what needs to be done, while still offering great practice. Almost feels like I can zone out and just paint while enjoying some music or podcasts. Just ignore the unpainted bolt handle (?) on the ultramarine 😆. Painting these really made me want to revisit my blood ravens and try to give one a proper 'eavy metal look.

Hey guys, wanted to post pics of my Golden Demon entry. The goal of this piece was to have something that not only felt like classic warhammer, but also would look good from a variety of angles and lighting conditions; such as those in the display cabinet. I had a lot of fun with various finishes around the model, such as the TMM gold, and the skin. While not very noticeable in the photos, the skin has a nice satin finish in the highlights, while having shadows that are quite matte. I think it make the highlights look nice and vibrant in hand. Included a size comparison at the end. These photos are also a bit more color accurate than the warcom photo.

Seeing other models painted to such a high degree at the show was an eye opening moment. It's hard to beleive how much raw talent and hard work was present in those cabinets, and I couldn't stop looking at them. I met and talked with a ton of awesome people who were all incredibly passionate about what they do. This is easily one of the most memorable weekends I've had in a long time. Thanks to Games Workshop as well, for putting together a great competition!

Hey, it's been a while! Finished this test model for a slow grow army I recently started with some friends. Decided to expand my Custodes force with some traditional banana men, rather than my current shadowkeepers. I have until this time next year to reach 60PL, so hopefully I can reach it while maintaining a similar level of quality.
