高校教員として、伝統的な書道を指導。
部を全国優勝に導き、パフォーマンス指導にも尽力。
また、自身も作家としてアート作品を発表。
書道の枠に囚われないコラージュ表現や美術要素を

城原で開催された総合芸術祭に、書家として参加させていただきました。
会場となった旧朝日屋酒蔵には、
ヒグマ春夫さん・森貴也さんをはじめとした作家の皆さんが
空間そのものを作品として立ち上げてくださり、
夜に訪れた酒蔵は、凛とした静けさと木の温もりが同居する、
特別な場所になっていました。
その空間の中で出会った、
半円の木の蓋と、銭形のような丸い板。
「これに書いてみませんか？」
そう声をかけていただき、滅多にない機会に“はい！”と即答したものの、ノープラン。
そこで、主催の山﨑さんが綴られた熱い文章を何度も読み返し、
この場に流れている“記憶の温度”のようなものを
自分なりに掬い取って、2つの作品にしました。

また光栄なことに、パフォーマンス後には
ヒグマ春夫さんからイベント最後の“フリーセッション”にも
参加してみないかとお声がけいただき、
嬉しさのあまり、こちらも即答。
書く場所の設置から頭を悩ませつつ、
なかなか無い機会なので玉砕覚悟で挑みました。
結果は見事に玉砕しましたが（笑）、
ヒグマ春夫さんからいただいた言葉は、
どれも深く胸に残る学びばかりでした。
今日の課題は、必ず今後に活かすと誓って竹田の地を後にしました。
そして、今回の空間と芸術祭を根幹から支え、形づくってくださった
Naomi Yamasaki さんと森貴也さん。
お二人の “この土地を残そう” という揺るぎない情熱が、
この芸術祭に深い意味と力を与えてくれました。
その想いに触れられたことを、心より光栄に思います。
ヒグマ春夫さんの個展（gallery CONNECT PLUS）は30日まで開催されています。

最後こそ書の甲子園で準大賞という
大きな賞を頂けましたが
上手く行かない日
結果が出なかった日の方が
圧倒的に多かったはず。
それでも前を向いて純粋にチャレンジを続けた日々に
神様がプレゼントをくれたように感じます。
人間力こそ武器。
“努力に勝る才能ナシ”を体現してくれました。
3年間よく頑張りました👏
