1965 RHD BUG
ヘッドライナーの次はカーペット、フロアマットです。
使用するのはオリジナルと同じ生地である、
German Square Weaveです。
やはり質感はこれが一番ですね!
早速貼っていきたいところですが、
一つ問題が。。。
3️⃣を見ていただくと分かる様に、
新しいカーペットを貼ろうとすると
以前のカーペットの跡が見えてしまうんですよね🥲
このまま貼ると悲しすぎるので、修正していきます。
残っているボンドや生地を剥がし、
下地を整え、ボディカラーで塗装。
これでバッチリです👌
更にリア周りには遮音の為の下地をしっかり貼ってから、
カーペットを貼っていきます。
これも省略されてる車両は多いです😅
そして、LHD用のラバーマットをRHD用に加工して、
最後にココマットを敷いたら、
フロア周りは完成です👌
1965 RHD BUG
ラグトップ、ヘッドライナー周辺の仕上げです。
塗装屋さんにてRAGトップをインストールされていますが、
開閉が渋いのでみてください、とのこと。
レールの幅やロックの為のフック等、色々調整し、
スムーズに開閉する様になりました。
不具合には必ず原因がありますので、
それを見つけ、改善する事が重要です。
ラグトップKitに生地は含まれてますが、
それだと周囲と色味が合わない為、
ラグトップの天井側の生地を
ヘッドライナーと同じ生地で製作、取り付けます。
そして周囲のヘッドライナー生地を張っていきます。
本来はラグトップの無い年式に
社外ラグトップを取り付けるということで、
このあたりは説明書も何も無い作業になります。
なるべく自然に見える様に作業していきます。
そして最後に、
ラグトップのインナーハンドルを取り付けますが、
デフォルトでは固定のナット等が丸見え状態でしたので、
バファー、スペーサーを3Dプリントして取り付けました。👌
これで、ラグトップ、ヘッドライナーの完成です。
1965 RHD BUG
続いては内装、ヘッドライナー張り替えに進みます。
ボディの板金・塗装と合わせて、
US Legacy Ragtop社のラグトップが装着されています。
なのでそのあたりも車両に合わせて仕上げていきます。
まずは古いヘッドライナーを剥がしていき、
サビやボンド等も剥がしていきます。
これがなかなか大変なんですが、
古いボンドをしっかり剥がしておかないと、
次にいくら良い生地を貼ってもキレイに仕上がらないんです。
その後、防錆プライマーを塗装して、
下地となるフェルト生地を貼り、
ようやく新しいヘッドライナー生地を貼っていきます。
もちろん、West Coast Classic Interior製の生地ですが、
一部車両に合わせて縫製等が必要になってきます。。。
リアウインドウ周辺、ピラー部分等を貼り終えて、
次はいよいよラグトップ、天井部分に進みます。
1965 RHD BUG
配線関係の作業が一通り終了しました。
純正仕様の配線に加え、クーラー関係、オーディオ、
シートヒーター等々追加の配線で
どうしてもゴチャゴチャしてしまうフロントフード内。。。
特にクーラーホースは、場所をとってしまいます。
それでも、
フロントフード内をスッキリさせたいということで一工夫。
そのままトランクライナーを敷いてしまうと、
クーラーホース等のせいでゴワゴワしてしまうので、
少し嵩上げした状態で敷くことにしました。
そうなるとダッシュのワイヤリングカバーが
脱着できなくなる(ネジにアクセスできない)ので、
ネジ位置を少し上ずらす様なブラケットを製作しました。
そしてトランクライナーには質感アップと防水の意味で、
ビニールレザーを貼ってフィニッシュ。
これで、ワイヤリングカバーの脱着も出来つつ、
スッキリしたトランクスペースを実現できました😊👌

ストーリーズでは日々の作業の紹介をしていたものの、
こちらがお久しぶりの投稿です。。。
3月頃にお預かりしたこちらの65 BUGの作業も
終わりに近づいてきました。
お預かりしてからこれまでの作業を振り返っていきます!
ボディの塗装を終え、
板金やさんである程度の組付けまで終わった状態で
お預かりいたしました。
まずはドア関係の組付けからスタートします。
専用ツールを使ってのベントウインドウのリビルト作業。
さすがにこれは板金屋さんでは出来ないですよね。
ドア関係の組付けが終われば、
次は配線の引き直し作業。
歴代のオーナー時代に好き勝手配線作業が行われれた様で、
色んな色の配線が使われていました。
一度全て引っこ抜き、
純正同様の色分けがされた専用ハーネスを
新たに取り付けていきます。
その後オーナー様のオーダーに合わせた追加装備を
取り付けていきます。
今回取り付けた中の一つがシートヒーター。
灰皿の中にうまくスイッチを設置出来る様に、
3Dプリントにてパーツを製作いたしました。

ご依頼いただきました🙏🙏
今回はハワイのVWディーラーをイメージしたデザイン。
当時モノの画像を参考に、
日本のナンバープレートサイズにアレンジし、
センターにはプルメリアの花をデザイン。
3D CADにてデータを製作し、
レンダリング画像で仕上がりイメージを
確認していただきます。
デザインが決まれば、
アルミ素材にて3Dプリント→
表面をサンディングしてメッキの下地を作り→
トリプルクロームメッキを施し→
最後にペイントして完成です。
プルメリアの花の塗装は、
塗装というより絵を描く感じでした😅👍

PORSCHE FUCHSホイールを装着する為の
専用ブラケットを製作👌
純正が14inのPCD205のホイールですが、
そこに15inのPCD130のPORSCHE FUCHSホイールを
装着したいというご依頼です。
まずは実際にFUCHSホイールを入れてみて、
各部の寸法を計測します。
そして3D CADにてデザイン。
シンプルで無駄の無いデザインを心がけました。
ブラケット自体はスチール製、
ボルト固定部分のアダプターはアルミ製です。
ブラケットにナットを溶接し、
ラプターライナーで塗装して完成です。
設計通りピッタリ収まりました👌
