Help us welcome the Summer season with this "romantic charmer" (Tyee), in which a young Indigenous couple get a break from their troubled lives when they find each other through a summer of love on the Pow-Wow circuit.

We spent the weekend at Frost Valley YMCA in the Catskills and stayed in Suite 18 with adjoining Room 19 at Lakeview Lodge. The room setup worked really well for our family: multiple beds, 2 bathrooms, a pullout couch, and a small kitchenette that made everything feel more manageable right away.
What stood out most for me was the ease. Meals were included. Activities were included. And instead of constantly trying to piece the weekend together, we got to settle in and enjoy it.
We did boating, archery, rock climbing, the flying squirrel, crafts, pony rides, s’mores, and a bubble party — all with that fun summer camp feel, but with more comfort and less overthinking.
