Heute ein tolles Foto mit Blick auf die Kreuzung beim alten Werthmannshaus (früher z.B mal Hotel & Restaurant Thomann -siehe zweites Bild- und später mal der Sitz der Caritas) und eine alte Postkarte aus derselben Richtung die ca 1890 entstand.
Aufgenommen wurde das Foto im Juli 1975.
Rechts (im ersten Bild) sieht man die Baustelle der damals „neuen“ Unibibliothek (Baubeginn 1973, Eröffnung 1978), die wie wir alle wissen bereits wieder abgerissen und neu aufgebaut wurde.
Ein interessantes Zeitzeugnis dieses Foto sowie auch die Karte...mir gefällt beides wirklich absolut 😊

Heute reisen wir in das Jahr 1979...es ist Juli und das Wetter ist allem Anschein nach fantastisch.
Wir blicken die KaJo entlang in Richtung Martinstor und beobachten die Leute beim shoppen, reden und vielem mehr.
Ich finde es total angenehm, dieses Foto zu betrachten. Man entdeckt vertrautes, interessantes, und es weckt Erinnerungen. Ich hoffe doch, dass es euch genauso geht...viel Spaß beim anschauen.

Heute ein Foto das beim Stadttheater aufgenommen wurde. Es zeigt im Vordergrund die Straßenbahn (früher auf alemannisch „Hoobl“, hochdeutsch Hobel...na, wer kennt das noch...wenn ja, dann einmal winken bitte 😂😉) mit der Nummer 66 Richtung Littenweiler (Linie 4). Aufnahmedatum leider unbekannt. Ich tippe auf Anfang/Mitte der 60er Jahre, oder was meint ihr?

Schlussverkauf in der Freiburger Innenstadt am 30. Juli 1961.
Damals war dort noch richtig was los – inklusive normalem Straßenverkehr mitten durch die Innenstadt. 🚗
Zum Glück war das noch vor meiner Zeit, denn ehrlich gesagt würde mir das heute wohl eher nicht gefallen.

Heute schauen wir uns mal den Mundenhof aus der Luft an. Die Aufnahme entstand am 4. August 1971.
Wusstet ihr eigentlich, dass der Mundenhof erstmals schon am 12. September 864 (Ja da fehlt keine Zahl 😉) urkundlich erwähnt wurde? Dabei handelte es sich um eine Schenkungsurkunde von Priester Rumolt an das Kloster St. Gallen.
Ein Tiergehege für Besucher gibt es seit 1968, damals natürlich noch etwas kleiner.
Was gefällt euch besonders auf dem Mundenhof? Ich habe ja die Bären geliebt, die leider schon verstorben sind. Sie waren in meiner Kindheit immer ein Highlight für mich 😊
