ACT 07| DRIFT

The Shore by Francesco Librizzi and Riccardo Robustini

The Shore is a continuous, shifting boundary that exists through change rather than stability - never fixed, never the same twice, always becoming. It endures by transforming.
A table like an eternal shoreline, where center and edge, mass and boundary, convex and plane coexist in unresolved tension. Thick to thin. Matte to mirror. Curved to flat. Each transition is almost imperceptible, as stone dissolves into reflection.
To survive is not to resist, but to drift.

The Distance reflects on marble as a material—heavy, stable, and naturally inclined to remain in place. A marble glass is paired with an elongated straw that extends its reach without moving the object. The gesture introduces a quiet ritual of use, where the body adapts to the material, preserving the stillness and presence of the marble on the table.

Conceived by Francesco Librizzi and Riccardo Robustini, 7 + 1 Acts of Survival marks the inaugural public activation of, a new Milanese cultural platform operating as a point of condensation where practices, ideas, materials, and people come into temporary proximity.

Developed as a long-term research trajectory, the project is structured through three interconnected phases - Memory, Survival, and the Archaeology of the Future - investigating how materials, objects, and ideas persist, transform, and reappear across time.

The exhibition focuses on survival as a condition of the present. Everything that exists - objects, materials, ideas, and practices - remains because it has survived. From this premise, the project is structured around three guiding questions: what has survived, how did it survive, and why did it survive? These questions frame survival not as permanence, but as a dynamic process shaped by resistance, adaptation, and the continuous production of meaning.

This is the inaugural project for THE LINE, a new Milan-based gallery and cultural platform. Dedicated to research at the intersection of architecture, art, and design, THE LINE is conceived as a site for long-term inquiry, with its full program of activities set to commence in late 2026.

RADIO POPOLARE
50 e 50 – LA MOSTRA
Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan, 2025

On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Radio Popolare, 50 e 50 – La Mostra unfolds inside the Sala delle Ciminiere at Fabbrica del Vapore. Curated by Giovanna Calvenzi, the exhibition is conceived as a collective journey through the history of the radio, placing listeners at its very heart and celebrating the community that has sustained and shaped Radio Popolare since 1975.

Developed across two levels, the exhibition is organized around a large central courtyard animated by live radio broadcasting. The space becomes a contemporary public square — a place of encounter, exchange, and participation. Photographs, archival documents, and images sent by listeners construct a shared visual memory, while a multimedia installation by Studio Azzurro amplifies the immersive and emotional dimension of the experience.

On the upper level, a graphic installation by Mario Piazza traces the history of Radio Popolare from its founding to the present day. Documents, objects, and stories guide visitors through five decades of independent radio, where once again the listeners emerge as the true protagonists.
