the one hike that ruined it all 😳

✨follow for more things to do in Canada 🇨🇦

jk it didn’t ruin other hikes 🫣 this hike is just too pretty and it’s one of my most recommended hikes in BC…so if you’re visiting British Columbia, and want that one hike that’ll be 1000% worth it, make it this one:

✨this is a long, strenuous hike approximately 32 km out-and-back
✨day hike is doable but it’s recommended for backpacking 🏕️
✨you will need a free day pass reserved in the summer, go to, Garibaldi Provincial Park, the main access point of the hike is Rubble Creek trailhead
✨if you can’t hike to Panorama Ridge, you can still hike to Garibaldi Lake 18 km-out-and-back. You’ll still see some of the best mountain views and bluest alpine lakes 💧💙

⚠️ Before visiting the trails in BC, please take the essentials [offline map, food, water, headlamp, extra batteries, first aid kit, multi-tool, bear spray, satellite device]. Always stay alert, wildlife encounter is common in BC. Monitor the weather and check for melting, wet loose avalanches in spring time!

✨There are free sites, visit BC recreation site!
✨To get to the hot springs, it’s about 30 minutes hike, easy trail but very muddy.
✨It’s about 3.5 to 4.5 h drive from Metro Vancouver depending on traffic.
✨The road is also rough, you need a high clearance vehicle 4x4. Don’t risk getting stuck on the road!!! 🚙🌲🏕️

This might be one of the most unexpected winter beach in Canada ❄️🥶

☃️ Not all places in Canada freezes in winter…

Coastal areas rarely see freezing temps, unlike inland Canada with temps ranging from -4 C to -24 C in the Prairies and between -2 C and -22 C in Central Canada, and in the far north, it is much colder, falling below -30 C

🇨🇦Winter here is different from most of Canada. While the rest of Canada experiences blizzards and deep freezes, Vancouver Island offers a mild, wet, green winter allowing for year-round outdoor activities. Just remember to wear your rain gear! 😉

With fewer crowds, you can enjoy a more quiet, scenic getaway in Tofino. Here are a few recommendations of things to do in Tofino, Vancouver Island:

✨Head to Cox Bay or Chesterman Beach for breathtaking Pacific storms and massive views ⛈️💧
✨Take a hike on the Rainforest Trail at Pacific Rim National Park Reserve 🌲
✨Explore the beaches like the beautiful long sandy beach at Long Beach - shown on the reel
✨Spot the seal lions, otters, seals, bald eagles, and maybe whales! 🐳 🦦
✨For food and cafes, highly recommend Tacofino, Wildside Grill, Rhino Coffee House ☕️ 🌮
✨For cool stays, highly recommend Hotel Zed, Mackenzie Beach Resort, Wickaninnish Inn 🏨
✨Unique experiences like taking a floatplane tour or visiting the hot springs in Torino ♨️💦🌲

🚙Tips for Winter travel: Winter tires and chains are required from October 1st to March 31st on Vancouver Island. Book ahead because some restaurants and accommodations can still fill up on holidays! It is also important to check the date because some activities or restaurants might be closed for the season and while it might not snow in Tofino, always be prepared for the rainy days 🌧️

This is why I drove 14 hours alone to a place in Canada rarely talks about…

Possibly the best $5 I spent in British Columbia 😉

After visiting many natural hot springs around Canada and other countries like Iceland and Mexico, I think this natural hot springs in BC has to be one of the best hot springs I’ve visited!

✨Day fee cost. $5 for adults, $3 for children, or $10 for families 💰
✨From the parking lot, it’s about 5 minutes walk to the pools. You’ll go through a boardwalk with scenic views. Keep an eye out for a moose (if you go super early!) 🫎
✨There’s also a change room and composting toilets 👙
✨Limited access to some areas during winter season. Vehicle access to some areas of the park might not be available but you can still visit them on foot ❄️
✨The park is located at kilometre 765 of the Alaska Highway, about 60km north of Muncho Lake Park 🚘
✨The pool is open year round and if you’re road tripping northern BC, Yukon to Alaska, highly recommend stopping at Liard River Hot Springs. It’s worth it ☺️
✨This is located in the Northern Rockies along the Alaska Highway, Liard River British Columbia

Coordinates: 59.4255°N, 126.1026°W
This is your sign to visit one of Canada’s largest, cheapest natural hot springs 🌲

This Ontario park ends in a large gorge and stunning waterfalls ⬇️

Add this on your 2026 Ontario Park must visit!

🌲Follow the trail: Gut Conservation Park. Cool places to visit in Ontario

✅3 hours from Toronto
✅This can be a short or long hike. If you have the right car you can drive up to the trailhead. The road to the parking lot is quite rough and not maintained. If you have a sedan, park at the main entrance and walk about 1km to the trailhead. If you have a higher clearance vehicle, you can drive to the parking lot-it’s free!
✅The Gut is a large gorge where the Crowe River flows through. There’s a staircase down to the gorge. Be cautious, the trail has little to no signs, poorly marked and watch your step, the rocks can be slippery!
