For the second year in a row our team got to hang with both up-and-coming and well-seasoned chefs, plus tons of foodies at Canada’s Great Kitchen Party 🍽️

Thanks to the CGKP team for welcoming us once again as their local charitable partner, with proceeds from onsite raffle sales going to support FoodShare's programming here in Toronto.

Congratulations to raffle prize pack winner, Sarah Banks, snapped with FoodShare board member Germaine Catchpole 🏅

The prize pack included a round-trip WestJet flight for 2 to any regularly scheduled destination, an Atom Hoody from Arc’teryx, and a curated 3-pack of Ontario wines courtesy of our friends at the Grape Witches — a big thank you to these generous donors.

Honourable mention goes to Michael Flux, who once again made sure to purchase raffle medallion #1 this time around. What a gem 💎

See you next time at the kitchen party!
⭐️ Want to make an impact on food justice in the City of Toronto? FoodShare Toronto is looking for people interested in helping to guide and shape the future of our work by joining our Board of Directors!

Whether it is supporting urban farms, subsidizing local produce markets or coordinating community kitchens, all of our work is about folks accessing food on their own terms. The Board provides strategic oversight and governance, offering high-level support rather than engaging with day-to-day operations. At this stage in our growth, we are particularly interested in welcoming directors who bring depth in financial management, governance, law, or related experience — along with a genuine connection and a service orientation to the communities we work alongside.

Food CANNOT be used as a weapon of war.

FoodShare joins our colleagues in the growing Food Security Organizations Coalition in condemning the catastrophic situation ongoing in Gaza, in which food is illegally being denied to civilian populations.

Under no circumstance can it be justified to use food as a weapon of war.

We invite you to read the full statement by the Food Security Organizations Coalition regarding the siege of Gaza and to endorse the letter, as an individual or an organization, at: (link in bio)

The right to food is a fundamental and universal human right, and we must continue advocating to protect it.
