Update: we’ve been doing good. Trying to heal, trying to find a new routine, a new us. Most days are good. Feels like forever ago most times (an odd feeling) but then the last few days- feels like it was just yesterday and we’re gutted and crying. I’ve developed bad insomnia this last week. But I’m aware thing is just a part of grieving. I think it’s getting worse because in a week we will be on the vacation trip I had planned to take both girls on.. an extra special one. It’ll still be special.. but also, really damn sad that Luna won’t be there. But now for some exciting news, I was able to get an ultrasound on Lily’s abdomen and chest - both came back all good. Since Luna and Lily are real sisters I was worried she could have the same issues that took Luna from us way too soon. But she’s got the all clear and now I can breathe a little more 🐾
So grateful for the photos that freeze these little moments with our girls forever… because somehow the years with them go way too fast. 🐾

Running around with Lily is a lot easier knowing Fi keeps track of her steps, naps, and all the little things I’d never think about in the moment. Eating, drinking, scratching, licking… it just helps me stay on top of how she’s really doing without overthinking it.
