Being a motherless mother I understand even more just how much love, patience, and strength it takes. It makes me appreciate my Mam even more, everything she did and the things she sacrificed for me and my brother, I can only hope I can be half the Mam she was. Life isn’t the same without her here. and there’s a space in my heart that will always belong to her. But I’m so grateful for every memory, every lesson, and all the love she gave us. After a little morning of allowing myself to feel my emotions, I’ve had a day full of love, the most thoughtful gifts, a glass of white wine for my Mama in our favourite place and lots of cuddles, my heart is so full 🩵✨
But the heart of this year has been Arlo. Being able to take him to new places, watching his confidence grow even more, seeing the world open up through his eyes, every milestone, every smile, every tiny moment felt huge. You made the ordinary days meaningful and the hard days softer Arlo.
Somewhere between the big life changes and the quiet inbetween moments, I grew too, learning to slow down, to be present, and to be proud of how far I’ve come.
