I spent sleepless nights thinking about all the films that don’t get made, books that don’t get written, music that remains silence, art that won’t get created simply because of our own mind thinking negative thoughts.
More than ever in recent years I’ve hit that delete button. But why? We really owe it to ourselves, each other, and the universe to just create. And share. And create some more. That’s what it’s all about.
So I made this video as a contract of starting a new chapter to just create. And I hope my motion will set you in motion too. We need more human creativity.
This round my favorite niece and nephew, reminding me of the beauty in the immediate.
I often walk around with too many devices, wanting to capture the same moment on all sorts of ways: video, digital, analogue, phone, my eyes…. Stressful.
I’ve been making it a thing to get into photography specifically analogue. It helps me slow down and be more intentional with the moment. I find perfection in the imperfections. Letting the captured moments be alive. Just like life is meant to be.
To capture my niece and nephew on camera is so special. Their moments are so full of life. Analogue gives that extra memory and nostalgia.
