For the last couple of years I’ve been slowly ramping down the amount of weddings I’ve taken on, and somewhere in the beginning of this year I decided 2025 would be my last. It has been a beautiful insanely successful 10 (TEN. How??) + years of capturing people’s happiest days 🥹 I’m so thankful for the love, thankful for the light, for the trust people have placed in me and for all of the beautiful and truly special moments I have been able to witness doing this work. I don’t take any of it for granted.
I announced this on my personal page right after a loaded out from this wedding, through a face full of tears and what was a release I wasn’t really expecting to come at the end of that day. I was *literally* bawling (those of you who know me are not surprised lol) but it wasn’t from sadness or even extreme happiness, it came from such a sense of pride and achievement. Walking away from something I have worked so hard to build in order to be able to be present for my family in ways I wouldn’t be able to if I continued on with weddings - is tricky but it’s beautiful and I am proud of me. 🥹
THANK YOU to every couple and family who has let me live these moments with you!! Moving forward I’ll be taking a select amount of associate weddings (more on that later!) and will of course continue to love photographing families, newborns, maternity, engagements and brands - and I’m so excited to be able to pour more into these sessions than ever before!! The next chapter of finding light is gonna be a good one guys 🥹
