There are certain experiences that leave you speechless, and this was one of them. The only way I can describe it is like being wrapped in the warmest hug from a mom friend who truly sees you, holds space for you, and reminds you that you’re not carrying motherhood alone.
This weekend, I felt the joy, honesty, vulnerability, care, and collective strength of Black motherhood in ways I’ve never experienced before. The beauty of this gathering existed in both the seen and unseen moments — in every conversation, embrace, panel, volunteer, detail, and intentional interaction throughout the entire experience.
For years I wanted to attend, but life, client events, and family commitments always got in the way. So to finally experience it firsthand during Year 9 felt incredibly special and right on time.
I said this on my stories, but it deserves a permanent place here too: & what you’ve created is sacred. Truly. Thank you for pouring into us the way you & do and for creating a space where Black mothers can feel supported, celebrated, safe, and seen.
I know firsthand how hard it is to produce experiences of this magnitude, especially in seasons like this for event organizers and small business owners. So please remember your why and know there is an entire village rooting for you both.

Our team worked closely with our west coast clients to plan and design not one but two events at this stunning private estate in Santa Barbara, California.
While there were a few logistical obstacles due to the landscape to host over 100 guests we were able to identify vendors who we trusted to get the job done and curate something unique for each event while keeping it with their style of understated warmth and chic while honoring traditional touches of Ethiopian culture their families and friends will remember for a lifetime ✨
