EXECUTIVE SPOTLIGHT: Michael Blumenthal

Michael Blumenthal currently serves as our Exchequer (Treasurer) and represents the Gamma Alpha pledge class. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Michael is a finance major with a strong passion for leadership and helping the chapter succeed. Before joining the executive board, he played an active role in the chapter as our Professional Development Chair, helping brothers grow both personally and professionally.

Michael took on the role of Exchequer because he wanted to challenge himself as a finance major while helping strengthen the chapter financially. He enjoys being responsible for managing the chapter’s finances, making smart financial decisions, and finding ways to help the chapter continue to grow.

Outside of managing the chapter’s finances, Michael enjoys fishing, driving his cars, and listening to music.

Michael joined AEPi in the Fall of 2024 after immediately connecting with the brotherhood while rushing alongside his best friend.

“I joined because I connected with the guys while rushing and went through the process alongside my best friend. I wanted to find a group of people I genuinely connected with and could count on throughout college and beyond.”

His favorite part of the fraternity is the brotherhood, having a solid group of friends and always having something to do. Looking to find your Brothers and make the most out of college? 🔗 Sign up for Fall Recruitment with the link in our bio to be contacted by our Rush Team.

Huge congratulations to our past President, James Levi, for winning Florida Atlantic University’s HIGHEST academic honor: The Stan and Renee Wimberly Scholar Award. Bestowed annually to only one student, it recognizes unparalleled scholarly achievement and the highest academic excellence at FAU.

James simultaneously pursued a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Artificial Intelligence,
maintaining GPAs of 3.99 and 4.00, respectively. He also spearheaded AI research, winning the Top Presentation award in the medicine category at FAU’s Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Beyond the classroom, James made a profound impact on the Greek community, earning
Fraternity President of the Year and two-time Fraternity Scholar of the Year honors. Under his
leadership, our chapter was named FAU Chapter of the Year, swept five Chapter Excellence Awards, and won the international Gift of Life Philanthropy Chapter of the Year.

James Levi’s status as the most decorated figure in both the academic and fraternity & sorority communities demonstrates a rare versatility and an absolute commitment to excellence.

Thank you, James, for your dedication and for your lasting impact.
Today we celebrate our seniors as they take the final step in their college journey. You all helped build the foundation of this fraternity and made sure the culture, brotherhood, and values were passed down to every class after you. Your leadership, wisdom, and impact mean more than words can express.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for this chapter. We’re proud to call you our brothers and can’t wait to see everything you accomplish next, ΕΣΠΟΝΔΑ🎓🤝

Congratulations to our past President James Levi for making history as the first student to be named both Fraternity President of the Year and Fraternity Scholar of the Year simultaneously.

While James broke FAU records by leading our chapter to win Chapter of the Year and the majority of Excellence Awards across all 28 FSL organizations, he also maintained the highest academic standing in the Greek community.

James Levi is also the first two-time winner of the Fraternity Scholar of the Year award (2025 & 2026), demonstrating unprecedented dominance both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you, James, for your impact on our chapter and the FAU community.
A couple days ago, our Brothers attended the annual SOAE Awards Ceremony.

Competing among all four councils and 28 organizations, we are honored to announce that our chapter was recognized as CHAPTER OF THE YEAR 👏🎉

Being named Chapter of the Year is a testament to our brotherhood, our dedication, and our commitment to excellence in every aspect of campus life. This recognition belongs to the men who lead with purpose, take initiative, and consistently push one another to be better.

In addition to this achievement, we are proud to have earned the following awards:
2. Fraternity Chapter President of the Year: James Levi

4. Brotherhood of the Year
5. Scholarship Excellence
6. Greek Relations Excellence
7. Community Service Excellence

These achievements reflect the standard we hold ourselves to and the values we live by every day.
