Am 28. Januar 2026 ist die Kölner Autorin Fatima Khan zu Gast in der von Dr. Franziska Koch veranstalteten Ringvorlesung „Phänomene der Transkulturalität“ an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Nach einer Einführung durch Dr. Jasmin Grande findet ein Gespräch mit der Autorin über ihren Text Madonna in den Trümmern sowie über ihre Arbeit als Autorin statt. Im gemeinsamen Austausch werden Fragen von Region, Erinnerung und Transkulturalität im Kontext literarischer Arbeit behandelt.

Das ORF-Landesstudio Kärnten und die Landeshauptstadt Klagenfurt haben heute (Montag, 19. Mai) im Robert-Musil-Literaturmuseum das Teilnehmerfeld und die Schwerpunkte zum Ingeborg-Bachmann-Preis 2025 präsentiert. 14 Autorinnen und Autoren treten an, darunter Fatima Khan, die seit 2022 an der Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (KHM) "Mediale Künste“ mit dem Schwerpunkt Literarisches Schreiben studiert. Sie liest auf Einladung von Mithu Sanyal.
Fatima Khan (*1987 in Bhola, Bangladesch) ist in Köln aufgewachsen, ist freie Autorin, Kuratorin und Moderatorin. Sie studierte Antike Sprachen und Kulturen – Klassische Literaturwissenschaft und Germanistik an der Universität zu Köln. 2018 war sie Initiatorin und Mitgründerin der q[lit]*clgn, des ersten feministischen Literaturfestival Deutschlands. Seit 2024 leitet sie im Auftrag des Literaturhauses Bonn „bold", die neue Dachmarke für junge Literatur in NRW. Sie war Teilnehmerin der Textwerkstatt Kölner Schmiede, Stipendiatin der Autor*innenwerkstatt Prosa des LCB, sowie Mentee des 1:1 Mentoring des Literaturbüro NRWs mit Mithu Sanyal. Sie schreibt Lyrik, Prosa, Essays und arbeitet derzeit an ihrem Debütroman “Madonna in den Trümmern”.
Von 26. bis 28. Juni 2025 finden im ORF-Theater in Klagenfurt die Lesungen und Diskussionen zum Bewerb statt. Die Preisvergabe erfolgt am 29. Juni. Lesungen und Diskussionen laufen am Donnerstag und Freitag von 10.00 bis 15.30 Uhr und am Samstag von 10.00 bis 14.30 Uhr. Die Preisverleihung startet am Sonntag um 11.00 Uhr.
