When I see lambs in a U.S. Christian context, I think of a victim complex. But, thorns only draw blood if you squeeze them. Vertical stripes here are a reference to circus theatre and if you saw the classic animal cracker box design through the lens of severe church aesthetics. Like a communion wafer, these three symbols together perform the ritual, commodification, and propaganda of U.S. Christianity’s martyrdom fantasy.
