South Lodge offer rooms, suites and lakeside lodges which are all so beautiful. We stayed in one of the Lodges at the Reeds, The Water Boatman and it was spectacular. Two bedrooms with a spacious lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The outdoor area of the lodge was amazing and we really enjoyed having breakfast to the room whilst soaking up the sun.
The amenities are great and they’ve honestly thought about everything, including the snack drawer which was rather impressive. The hosts are available on WhatsApp to cater to your needs and the staff are the most helpful and friendliest people which made the stay that much more pleasurable.
The Spa was incredible with an Indoor infinity edge pool, Outdoor vitality hydrotherapy pool, Outdoor wild swimming pool and Cold water lake swimming. They also have a selection of thermal experiences which include a Botanical sauna which was beautiful, Salt steam room, Aromatic infusion and Bucket shower if you’re brave enough to try it out. I’m addition, the Spa also offer a range of face and body treatments.
There are a few restaurants to choose from on site including a Michelin Starred restaurant, The Pass by. We tried the tasting menu alongside non alcoholic drinks pairing which I thought was great. The dishes were delectable, each one unique, flavourful and just so satisfying. My favourite was the Oysters which were beautifully poached and full of flavour. They were so palatable, I’m honestly craving another already.
The fact that you’re able to message the staff whenever you need a buggy ride was perfect and if you feel like having a walk, the grounds are beautiful.

I was invited over to try out The Secret Garden Afternoon Tea at Kona restaurant. The whole setup is absolutely stunning and the flavours are so palatable. They have a lovely selection of pastries which are beautifully decorated and their sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The Afternoon tea is inspired by the timeless classic tale of The Secret Garden. The Secret Garden Afternoon Tea is available Thursday to Sunday in Kona.
