new studio space is finally taking shape.
thank you to everyone who’s been helping, visiting, lifting, painting, and just showing up — it means everything.
for the past 4 months I’ve been restoring a studio in this heritage building from the inside out:
replastering walls, brick work, insulation, concrete grinding & resurfacing, stripping & repainting windows, electrical fixes… basically a full renovation.
feels surreal to see it come alive.
excited for what’s coming next; slowly, softly, one step at a time.

The skyline of Maastricht we referenced was inspired from a vintage poster by the arthouse cinema when they hosted a queer film event in 1978. The iconic “be queer do crime” slogan originates from the Stonewall riot and is an anti-capitalistic and anti-authoritarian statement, implying that crime and incivility may be necessary in the fight for equal rights given the criminalization of queerness around the world.
