Furthermore, as the centerpieces of our 7-inch selection, we have prepared two absolute masterpieces: MINMI's "Ai no Mi," featuring the B-side "Shiki no Uta" composed and arranged by Nujabes, and the globally acclaimed, strictly limited edition of Lamp's "Tabibito / Yume no Kuni."

"King Of Diggin’" DJ MURO氏 が、新しくなった渋谷店の棚からセレクトしたラインナップ。
動画で紹介した Lee Dorsey は、かつて渋谷店で手にした、MUROのディグの旅の始まりを象徴する一枚。「Get Out of My Life, Woman」は今でも7インチを集め続けているという。

NYのブラジル専門店で聴いて以来、ずっと探している一枚。リイシューは出たけれど、いまだにオリジナルを追い求めています。ブラジルのインストには、まだ出会っていない音がたくさんある。今後も掘り続けたいジャンルですね。
2. Gloria Lynne / I Don't Know How To Love Him
かつて武井（Face Records 創業者）に「これ知ってる？」と教わった思い出の一枚。収録された「Thank You Early Bird」がとにかく好きで、今もかけ続けています。
3. Horace Silver Quintet / Total Response
自身の楽曲『Dig On Summer』でジャケットをサンプリングさせてもらった、Blue Noteの中でも異彩を放つ盤。ここからJazz Funkのより深いところへ行けた、自分にとっての門戸のようなアルバムです。
4. The Monty Alexander Trio / We've Only Just Begun
ジャマイカ出身の大好きなピアニストによる作品で、ドイツレーベルならではの独特な音が今の時期にフィットします。「Monticello」は、実はMarvin Gayeの名曲のカバー。
5. Beginning Of The End / Beginning Of The End
90年代、DEV LARGEと共に憧れ、探し歩いた一枚。ラストによくかけていた「Bluestrain」は、JBのカバーとの関係性も含めて思い入れが強い。バハマへ行ったとき、裏ジャケの撮影場所を探しまわったことも、今ではいい思い出です。
「もっと試聴しまくりたい盤がいっぱいあった」

久しぶりに "King Of Diggin’" DJ MURO氏 が来訪。
「Faceがクローズしていると、この坂を上がる気がしない」
長年、宇田川町のこの坂を上り、多くの盤を手に取ってきたMURO。
MUROにとって、レコードを掘ることは「三度の飯」と同じように欠かせない習慣であり、すべてのアイデアの源泉。
