As an artist, I find it important to share creativity and offer a glimpse into how I see the world.
My name is Laura, and I create art based on letterforms.
During my graphic design studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy, I became fascinated by typography. I designed a new typeface for nearly every project, and each time, they became less readable and more experimental.
At some point, the letters stopped being letters. They turned into shapes. Into images. Into something you could feel rather than read.
Thatβs when my design practice slowly turned into art.
Today, I use my own intuitive work methods to keep exploring, making, and reshaping what letters can be.
And through workshops and exhibitions all over the world, I share that way of thinking, inviting others to see and experience letterforms the way I do.
