Red is the vibration of mother earth, and the planet Mars dedicated to the ancient Greek God of war. Red represents the physical plane of existence where all manifestation in matter is made possible. It is also the first color in the rainbow and the color of the first chakra in our body. Physically it is our blood and our impression of fire. Culturally, red signifies good luck, prosperity and happiness in China, contrary to danger, stopping, passion and love in the West. In the arts it is largely used through the centuries to command attention, weather to look at what the painters are emphasizing, or to create an atmosphere of anger, rebellion, war, seduction, desire and lust. Undoubtedly, how would any space of intense emotion, power, vitality, urgency and focus be expressed if not with red?
This collective exhibition is a hymn to the vibration of red symbolizing gestation, adventure, passion, lust and romantic love as way to experience spaces, boundaries and limitless emotions. It opens the space for new interpretations and experiences.
