I remember sleeping in my ymca jersey the day before games when I was about 4 years old because I was just so excited to play. I stopped dreaming a while ago because I surpassed so many of my dreams and my entire college career has been nothing short of amazing. Iād be lying if I told you itās been all celebration and success though. Giving this game my all has also brought me great stress and failures. There were days where just getting out of bed seemed impossible. Iāve felt countless heartbreaks and disappointment but the one thing I did regardless of how I felt mentally and regardless of how much pain I was in physically was just keep showing up. Some days thatās all I was able to do.
But on the other side i want to thank every coach and every player I played with and against from day 1. I want to thank all of my aau programs. I want to thank my trainers for the countless hours youāve spent with me in the gym so that I can even have the chance to make it this far. I want to thank Fairfax for preparing me to succeed at the college level. I want to thank USC for the best years of my life and make no mistake I will forever be a proud Trojan alumni. USC holds such a special place in my heart. I even want to thank Wyoming for the pain and lessons it taught me. I want to thank pepperdine for healing me and my love for the game of basketball and welcoming me with open arms. Lastly but most importantly I want to thank my family who sacrificed so much to get me to this point. Only they truly know what it took for me to get here.
My prayer is that I inspired a couple of people along this journey and to that little kid with nothing but a dream I pray you chase it with everything you have because that same orange ball took me all over America.
