THE STORY BEHIND THE DESIGN
Before starting the design, I asked my client to tell me a little about themselves.
As we talked, two things stood out: the sea and İzmir.
They spoke about the peace the sea gives them, how much they love coastal towns, and how İzmir has always been a place that feels special to them.
Instead of focusing on the city’s well-known landmarks, we chose to capture the familiar feeling of the Aegean. A small seaside town, a sailboat heading toward the horizon, and the free spirit of the sea…
Because sometimes, the best way to describe a place is not through its symbols, but through the feeling it leaves behind.
This design was created as a cover-up of an existing tattoo. ✨

Neon ışıklarla aydınlanmış bu kız figürü, bir yandan masalsı bir saflığı, bir yandan da teknolojinin keskin sınırlarını temsil ediyor. Üzerinde yüzen neon koi balığı, akışkanlığı ve uyumu simgelerken, altında kıvrılan ejderha, gücün ve koruyucu ruhun sembolü olarak yer alıyor. Tüm bunların altında parlayan “cennet” neon tabelası ise, bu distopik dünyada bile bir umut ışığının varlığını hatırlatıyor. Bu tasarım, zıtlıkların uyum içinde bir araya geldiği, karmaşıklığı ve derinliği barındıran bir hikayeyi vücuda getiriyor.

Design Description:
This tattoo tells a story hidden in the depths of a cyberpunk world. The neon-lit girl figure represents both a magical innocence and the sharp boundaries of technology. The neon koi fish swimming above symbolizes fluidity and harmony, while the curling dragon beneath represents power and a protective spirit. Below all of this, the glowing "Heaven" neon sign reminds us that even in this dystopian world, there is a glimmer of hope. This design embodies a story where contrasts come together in harmony, capturing complexity and depth.
