We explored Sarah’s beautiful textile and homeware designs and enjoyed a truly lovely lunch surrounded by Moroccan craftsmanship and detail.

A place where architecture doesn’t dominate nature, but quietly becomes part of it.
What stayed with me most was the way every detail felt deeply connected to its surroundings the natural materials, open spaces, earthy textures, and the seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor living. The architecture almost disappears into the landscape, allowing the light, greenery, sounds, and climate of Bali to shape the experience naturally.
Sustainability here is not used as a trend, but as a genuine design approach. From the use of local materials and handcrafted details to the natural ventilation and organic flow of the spaces, everything feels thoughtful, calm, and respectful to the environment.
A beautiful reminder that good architecture is not only about aesthetics, but also about creating harmony between people, space, and nature.
Villa Shambala is definitely one of those places still on my mind…🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Bende en çok iz bırakan şey, her detayın çevresiyle kurduğu güçlü bağ oldu. Kullanılan doğal malzemeler, açık yaşam alanları, toprak tonları ve iç-dış mekan arasındaki akış… Her şey bulunduğu coğrafyanın ruhuna ait hissediliyor. Mimari adeta geri planda kalıp ışığın, doğanın, seslerin ve Bali’nin ikliminin mekanın deneyimini şekillendirmesine izin veriyor…
Burada sürdürülebilirlik bir trend gibi değil, tasarımın doğal bir parçası olarak ele alınmış. Yerel malzemelerin kullanımı, el işçiligi detaylar, doğal havalandırma ve mekanların organik kurgusu sayesinde her şey sakin, dengeli ve doğaya saygılı bir his yaratıyor…
